As the spring signing period goes along, players from the Class and 2024 – as well as previous Oregon prep stars – are finding four-year homes. Going to the NCAA Division II level are a handful of players, starting with Jesuit senior Tyler Curvy Tyler Curvy Tyler Curvy 5'10" | CG Jesuit | 2024 State OR . The steady 6-foot point guard recently announced his decision to start his college career at Point Loma Nazarene and it was a choice that fit him in so many ways both on and off the court.

“I knew that Point Loma was the right spot for me because of many reasons,” Curvy said. “Obviously the campus is amazing and I immediately saw myself striving there on and off the court. Point Loma has a great community and I felt welcomed as soon as I stepped on. The school academic wise has what I want with not too big of classes and all of the support I need. When it comes to the coaching staff and the program, I knew I was going to fit it. The coaching staff is amazing and cares for your success on and off the court. The values that the team has are held very high and I feel like I would embody those perfectly.”

The defensive-minded Curvy averaged 4.0 points and 2.7 assists as Jesuit’s starting point guard, helping the Crusaders reach the 6A State Tournament for the first time since they won it all in 2019. He will enter Point Loma as a non-scholarship player but he’s confident in his abilities and ready to go to work. “As a walk on, I obviously want to bet on myself and give myself the best opportunity to play,” Curvy said. “I would like to improve most on my pace of play as well as the consistency of my shooting.”

Some former Oregon prep players will be continuing their college careers at the D-II level after starting off in junior college. Twin brothers Trey and Ty Neff, former 2022 North Medford graduates who played the past two seasons at College of Redwoods in California, are headed next to Chadron State in Nebraska. Trey, who had a stellar two-year career at Redwoods scoring over 1000 career points and earning All-League and All-State honors, said Chadron State got in with the recruitment of him and his brother early and a recent visit helped seal the deal for the twins.

“They hit me up earlier before my sophomore season even started, so they were pretty much one of the first ones to contact me,” Neff said. “I took a visit out there before the season started and liked it. The assistant coach at the time back then was super cool and gave off really good vibes. Also, over there at Chadron State College they have really, really nice facilities. Another plus too was that they offered me and my twin brother Ty Neff full ride scholarships. So after going over everything with my family and coaches it seemed like the best fit for us. So all in all, super excited to getting out there and playing for them.”

Excited to announce my acceptance of a full ride scholarship to Chadron State College. Blessed and honored to be in the position I am in. Excited for what the future holds. GO EAGLES! 🦅 #committed pic.x.com/0XnaKbXhvY

Another former prep, Dallon Morgan (2022 Sprague) will be coming back to the Pacific Northwest to continue his college basketball career in the GNAC at Central Washington. The 6-foot-10 forward/post further developed his inside-outside game his two years at Eastern Arizona, first as a redshirt and then this past season where he averaged 9.1 points and 4.9 rebounds on a team that won the D-I Region title.

“I think the biggest factor was being close to home so my family could come out and watch me play,” Morgan said at his signing day news conference at Eastern Arizona. “The coaches, the players, and the community around the school were also the biggest factors for me.”
