No where is that more evident than at the center position which boast multiple National Prospects. Let’s breakdown the centers in the class of 2025.
It’s been a remarkable rise to number 1. Staton is a transcendent player with the ability to dominate basketball games without scoring. His best skill is his quick first jump. He is a vertical threat on both ends of the floor, serving as the ultimate rim protector and dunker’s spot threat. Sky’s the limit for the high flying five man.

The fact that Bartlett is number 2 only goes to highlight the depth of the class. He’s a back to the basket monster that can bully or finish with finesse, he has strong hands, which allows him to dominate the glass. Bartlett is a legit Power 5 Center, with the skills to take back the number one spot before it’s all said and done.

Ghallab is a big bodied lefty with good post moves. He’s had a monster high school career, but is set up for a big Grassroots season running with the Punishers. The double double machine has steadily stretched his game out and was moving well when I saw him last week during the April Bash.

The mecurial Jones could end up being the gem of the class. Don’t let his frame fool you. He is highly skilled, with passing, and low post ability. He’s shown the ability to beat opponents with brute force as well as his brain.
Shufford is your typical glue guy, except with a super power. One of the state’s top Glass Cleaners grabbed almost 10 boards per game during the high school season. The fluid running, athletic big is one of the top 5 men in the state.
Ripptoe has made incremental movements up the rankings throughout his career. He’s bided his time, and his hard work paid off this season. The small school 5 man started and contributed in all 27 games for the Lynx this season.
One of the perks of Grassroots season is getting a longer look at Worde. He had several impressive showings last season, earning the moniker of “Baby Jokic” because of his skillful finishing and passing ability.
