With players of great size and ability and players either offered or projected at every level, its shaping up to be a great positional pot of gold for college coaches. Lets have a quick rundown of all the power forwards included in the latest 2026 rankings.
Zayden Sherod Zayden Sherod 6'4" | PF Logan | 2024 State WV starts the list and the Logan PF has shown above average athletic ability and could be an elite rebounder and defender next year. Jacob Wamsley Jacob Wamsley 6'4" | PF Tygarts Valley | 2026 State WV will be Tygarts Valley’s best returning player and likely leading scorer next season. Colt Sandy Colt Sandy 6'4" | PF Hundred | 2026 State WV is a super athletic small school athlete who played PF but could transition to SF is needed. Benji Adkins Benji Adkins 6'5" | PF Chapmanville | 2026 State WV could be the next star at Chapmanville. Adkins played behind all-everything PF Zion Blevins Zion Blevins 6'7" | PF Chapmanville | 2024 State WV and got limited playing time but will be a big part of Chapmanville’s future. Tayveon Wilson Tayveon Wilson 6'3" | PF Huntington | 2026 State WV has been a force that people are just now getting caught up to knowing. Showing his basketball skill and toughness during the state tournament, Wilson will be a handful the next two years. Ivan Miller Ivan Miller 6'4" | PF Logan | 2026 State WV is a Logan forward who will anchor his squad next season being yet another lengthy and athletic forward for the Wildcat squad.
Zaden Ranson Zaden Ranson 6'3" | PF Charleston Catholic | 2026 State WV leads us into the top 50 ranked players and is the next ranked PF. Ranson who is a D1 baseball recruit has quickly shown why he’s recruited at that level with his strength and athletic ability routinely dropping double doubles throughout the season regardless of the competition level. Jeremiah Babo Jeremiah Babo 6'4" | PF Frankfort | 2026 State WV is a player who seems to be a mystery to many hearing stories of his athletic ability during games, and yes he’s story-worthy. The sturdy and athletic Babo stands out immediately on film and will be a certain force the next two years. Eli Smith Eli Smith 6'5" | PF Lincoln County | 2026 State WV is a very skilled forward who could easily transition to SF when needed. Physical, athletic and efficient all describe Smith who will be on college radars sooner than later. At first sight Anden Santamaria Anden Santamaria 6'7" | PF Musselman | 2026 State WV looks bigger and longer than his listed 6’5″, and possibly by next November will be. Santamaria has great instincts and basketball IQ and could be the full package once his skill catches up with his length.
Luke Anderson Luke Anderson 6'4" | PF Parkersburg | 2026 State WV starts us off in the top 30 and represents one of WV’s up and coming 4A programs. Anderson worked his way onto the floor for the Big Reds with solid inside play and slick mid range shooting. Look for him to be routine double double guy next season. Zayden Neely Zayden Neely 6'5" | PF Princeton Senior | 2026 State WV showed several teams this season that he better be accounted for in their defensive strategy or he would make them pay. With graduation hitting Princeton hard, Neely could be their top returning player. Chet Gore Chet Gore 6'5" | PF Washington | 2026 State WV is one of the most unsung players in the EP and one of the reasons for the strong showing of Washington basketball this season. The upstart program will depend heavily on Gore’s skill an size in next season.
Xavier Anderson Xavier Anderson 6'6" | PF Spring Mills | 2026 State WV brings us into the top twenty where he has anchored the post play for Spring Mills, and yes i Know his teammate is Caleb Thomas Caleb Thomas 6'6" | PF Spring Mills | 2025 State WV . But Thomas is used in such a way that Anderson is the post play anchor at PF and gets all the dirty work done that’s thrown his way. Very efficient around the bucket and an impressive post defender as well. The 6’6″ athlete is also one of WV’s top football players. Isaac Hodges Isaac Hodges 6'6" | PF Ritchie County | 2026 State WV is possibly the best shooting PF in this class and maybe the state in all classes. Not in fear of posting up, but much more deadly facing up and shooting midrange, Hodges started as a freshman and quickly became Ritchie’s best player this season. He’ll be likely offered before his junior season is over. Waylon Colistra Waylon Colistra 6'6" | PF Morgantown | 2026 State WV , much like the aforementioned Hodges is a slick shooting big that looks to be very good from beyond the arc, but will be a post up threat for Morgantown next year.
Max Olejasz Max Olejasz 6'6" | PF Wheeling Central Catholic | 2026 State WV leads us off in the top ten after an impressive showing in the state tournament versus some of WV’s top post players. Max is very versatile and like a few others mentioned could easily slide out to a wing and be very comfortable and thrive. Timmy Lovejoy Timmy Lovejoy 6'7" | PF Nitro | 2026 State WV is really a hybrid between SF and PF but for now he’s gonna be listed as PF for promotion sake. A long and athletic 6’7″, Lovejoy will likely get some serious recruiting traction during AAU season.
Finally, Noah Lewis Noah Lewis 6'6" | PF George Washington | 2026 State WV is our top PF as well as top ranked 2026. Lewis became known immediately his freshman year dropping several double doubles in WV’s top 4A conference. Not an easy task for a 15 year old. Lewis who’s already been offered by Radford will likely get a new offer or two before summer’s end once he’s in front of the right people.
