He can shoot it from deep as well, showing smooth mechanics. The 6'9” center was too much to stop on the glass, converting on several second chance baskets following offensive rebounds. He was throwing down emphatic two-handed dunks and drawing contact to get to the stripe. He was great at using ball fakes to gain a step on the defense, being able to drive and take it all the way to the rim or stop on a dime and pull up in the mid-range. He caught fire in their last game of the day, finding major success from all three levels. He went on a run of three made triples in the matter of a couple minutes in the first half, mostly shooting off the catch. Mortenson was finding success inside in the second half as well, showing great touch around the basket and the ability to fight through contact. Koch could also go up and finish through traffic, being able to use either hand. He has a long 6'4” frame and used it to make a difference defensively. He could cover a lot of ground when blocking or altering opponents shots. He also has a well rounded game offensively. He was a go-to option for teammates looking to kick out, as I saw him knock down a couple threes off the catch. He stands at 6'8” and moves great for his size. He was a beast on the boards, as he was at least three inches taller than the tallest opposing player. He came down with every contested rebound on both sides of the ball, maximizing offensive opportunities for his team.
