On Saturday March 23rd I attended the King of the City hosted by Hoopers On1y located at the Phhacility in Phoenix.

I viewed mainly 17U mixed in with some 16U or teams playing up in 16U. I ended up watching exactly 20 teams locally.

My All-Tournament Teams are based on the one game I viewed the team. These are NOT prospect rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633022' first='Charles' last='Cobbs'] Chandler (AZ Gremlins 17) (Pictured)

A combo guard who is very fast in the open court. He makes good reads and sees his teammates to make a play. He rises high above the ground with his pull-ups and brings a lot of energy on the defensive end. He rebounds out of his area and uses ball fakes to score or get to the line. He iced the game with free throws.

[player_tooltip player_id='1286159' first='Peanut' last='Barnes'] Phhoenix Prep (Roc Steady 17)

A fast and shifty scoring lead guard can score from many levels. He will hit the catch three in bunches and uses a very quick first step to get to the basket. He is quick on the ball defensively and brings energy and speed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217315' first='TayVion' last='Wilson'] Sandra Day O'Connor (Roc Steady 17)

A scoring point guard makes it look easy in stretches. He has a quick burst to get to the rim and shows advanced body control in the air to score. He can fall away from about eight feet and will catch and shoot and hit threes with an ultimate quick shooting release. He will make the extra pass and should have a big year for the Eagles.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285501' first='Cezer' last='Sotomayor'] ALA Gilbert-North (Peak Platinum 17)

A high IQ combo guard with a good feel for the game. He consistently makes the right play over and over. He moves the ball and will defend. He moves his feet well with plus lateral quickness and his quick hands. He will change speeds and will burst to the basket with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='1674466' first='Connor' last='Morris'] ALA Gilbert-North (Peak Platinum 17)

A bigger shooting guard will score from all levels. He will score on offensive rebound put backs using his size and length and will shoot it from the high post. He can get hot from the beyond the arc and will be utilized even more next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620346' first='Joshua' last='McManaway'] McClintock (AZ Gremlins Gray 16)

A sharp shooting bigger guard is a natural bucket. There is not much size on the team so he grabs many of the teams rebounds. He will even block shots, run the floor and is good in the passing lanes. He has a nice pill-up from mid-range and had that deep ball clicking as always.

[player_tooltip player_id='1938808' first='Justice' last='Hinds'] Saguaro (Peak Platinum 16 NB)

A physical defensive point guard is a downhill beast. He will use his speed and strength to carve out space and finish with his left or right hand. He scores or get fouled and cashes in on his free throws.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875973' first='John' last='Hemsley'] Canyon View (AZ Venom Nxt 17)

A long and tall power forward who is getting more active inside. He is very good on the glass and will score on put backs. He has decent post footwork he utilizes to get the job done and holds his ground in the paint on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2297971' first='Hale' last='Hansen'] Brophy Prep (AND1 17)

A transfer by way of Texas came off the bench this season for the Broncos. He can shoot the three, and is an athletic wing forward who plays above the rim. He makes his money defending almost every position on the court and it is hard to keep him out of the game.
