While Brandon Ramsey was providing excellent coverage for Prep Hoops Circuit event in Chicago over the weekend, I was in Westfield (IN) to cover the annual USA Youth Hoops IndyBall Shootout which saw many of the top in-state grassroots teams all under one roof. With that said, let’s take a look at some player evaluations from the IndyBall Shootout.
Vogt is about as smooth as a scorer that I saw at IndyBall over the weekend. Scored at all three levels and was active on the glass. Under-the-radar piece to KGE 2026.
Jewell was one of the more physically stronger guards I saw over the weekend. Can play both on and off the ball well and knocks down big shots. Lot of upside in him this summer for Progeny.
Gilliatt is a very under-the-radar guard for Kyle Guy Elite – ’25 Williams. Real shifty on the ball and can get through traffic score smoothly at the basket. Upside to be a scoring guard as well.

Davis was one of the bigs I saw that has such raw potential. He is nice around the rim on both ends of the floor that can score and protect it. High motor but just a little raw right now.
When it comes to raw tools, Pickel has everything you want in a big at this level. He has a lot of length with a soft touch around the basket. He shows great strength on the boards and is so active around the glass.
Darrell played a little more on the ball than I have seen him do in the past but honestly feel the best fits him. He is a player that likes to push the pace and play tough. I am a really big fan of Darrell but has to learn to let the game to come to him.

Evans was one of the more high motor player int he gym at IndyBall Shootout. He likes to attack but he is just a little too aggressive at times. Once he learns to play at a controlled pace, he will be a great, versatile forward.
