The Cavs are one of the most well known and respected programs in the Northern VA area, and will field three 17U teams this year. They are known for their balanced style of play, great organization as well as placing many players at good programs at all levels over for almost 2 decades now. Here’s a look at their roster.
Theo Burke Theo Burke 5'10" | CG WT Woodson | 2025 State VA | 5’10” PG | WT Woodson
Burke returns to the Cavs after being their go-to guy on the 16U team last year, and he will be their primary ball handler and playmaker throughout the summer. He has a quick first step with the ability to change speeds and directions, he can make shots from deep and in the midrange off the bounce and he has a good IQ as a playmaker and defender.
Ryan Furlong | 6’1” SG | James Madison
Furlong is a great role player for this Cavs group, as he brings a lot of intangibles that help a team win on both ends of the floor. He is a high motor and hard working player, he has great instincts defensively to get deflections and steals and he’s a good finisher around the rim too.
Tobin Haire Tobin Haire 6'3" | SF Herndon | 2025 VA | 6’3” SG | Herndon
Haire was a First Team All District selection this year for Herndon, and he brings versatility to the wing on both ends of the floor. He can play on the ball and create for himself and others in isolation situations, he can finish around the rim and in the midrange and he can move off the ball and knock down shots consistently.
JT Brennan | 6’5” PF | Bethel Academy
Brennan is a big man who will provide a physical presence for this group and he’s shown he can be a productive player without a lot of plays being called for him. He attacks the glass hard on the offensive end of the floor, he has good touch in the midrange and at the rim and he plays with a high motor too.
David Gantumer | 5’10” CG | WT Woodson
Gantumer is another guard from Woodson who can be effective as a dual threat scorer and distributor and he’s already had a good start to the spring. While he isn’t the biggest guy he makes shots from deep, gets downhill and plays well off of two feet and he can make plays for others as well.
Liam Koelsch Liam Koelsch 6'7" | C West Potomac | 2025 State VA | 6’7″ C | West Potomac
Koelsch is coming off a big junior season at West Potomac, and he’ll provide a presence as a rim protector and a scorer in the paint for them. He uses his length and has good timing to block and alter shots, he has a good array of post moves and knows how to use fakes and counters to finish at the rim and he has good touch out to the elbows too.
Cameron Yingling | 6’4″ SF | Fairfax
Yingling is a big time athlete who will provide a lot of energy for this Cavs team on both ends of the floor with his big play ability. He gets out in transition and gets downhill where he can play above the rim effortlessly and with authority, they use him in set plays for lobs, he has good length to get deflections and challenge shots and he can knock down open shots as well.
Anderson Krisko Anderson Krisko 6'5" | C Marshall | 2025 State VA | 6’5″ PF | George Marshall
Krisko will work well with Koelsch in the paint for this Cavs team, as he has a similar skillset but brings a more physical and bruising presence as well. He can seal and use his size to back down defenders and finish at the rim, he can step out and knock down shots and makes good passes from the elbows and he brings good energy on both ends of the floor.
Will Taylor | 6’4” PF | WT Woodson
Taylor is another versatile big for this Woodson team as he’s possibly their best floor stretcher but he also has the ability to bang and finish in the post too. He has soft touch around the rim and utilizes fakes well, he can knock down shots when he’s set from all over and he always finds a way to be in the right position to rebound as well.
Noah Limbago Noah Limbago 6'2" | SF WT Woodson | 2025 State VA | 6’2″ SF | WT Woodson
Limbago is one of their more versatile players on this group, as he has perimeter ball skills and athleticism but is also strong enough to bang in the post. He can play and guard multiple positions for them, he can work in isolation situations to get to his spots, he can spot up and make shots and he’s a good finisher around the rim too.
