I’m going to give you 5 players that saw their stock rise over the last year regardless of number. Basically, they proved that their games and skill sets carry weight in the recruiting world.
Hahnenberg is a very intriguing prospect. He can effectively play outside-in as well as inside-out. Hahnenberg rebounds and controls the glass like a post player, but can easily step outside and work off the perimeter. He can also defend multiple positions. I really think that you’ll be hearing his name a lot over the next few years.
Tate has a very mature game. While he can create and score at a high level, he clearly understands that scoring isn’t the only way to help a team win. Tate is willing to work on the defensive end, playing angles and getting deflections as well as stepping in and taking charges. Tate showed that he can play as a pass first and scoring lead guard.

Lagrande proved to already be a high quality high school basketball player. His strength and physical play was beyond that of your typical newcomer. Contact on his finishes or under the rim didn’t seem to bother him a bit. Lagrande showed that his quick hands and defensive vision could create instant offense.

Wade stepped in and made a huge contribution as a freshman. And he did it on a very talented roster. Wade is at his best when he can get downhill with the ball in his hands. He showed that, even as a freshman, he could shrug off contact, and finish at the rim through defenders. Wade is a solid passer that can also dish the ball off the dribble drive.
Word proved that he has big time potential in the game of basketball. He has an athletic game that he shows with creative finishes and the ability to get up off the ground. Word uses his speed and a push dribble to get the ball out in the open floor. He can score attacking the rim as well as from the outside.
