Over the next few days, we are going to do a deep dive into the players and teams to watch at state. It's the most exciting time of the year.

To get the ball rolling, we're providing a list of Prep Hoops' top ranked player from each grade – 2024 to 2026 – from each classification.

Interestingly, the top ranked player from each grade will be in Wichita for the 6A bash. We've seen [player_tooltip player_id='1270090' first='TJ' last='Williams'] there every year of his brilliant career. It will be one more chance to see the versatile stud before he joins the Shocker squad right there in his hometown. 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1588338' first='Carter' last='Kaifes'] will make his state tournament debut for Mill Valley. [player_tooltip player_id='2209778' first='Ethan' last='Taylor'] is worth the price of admission simply because he's a big time recruit.

All eyes should be on [player_tooltip player_id='1270268' first='David' last='Cobin'] at 5A considering what he did at the tournament two years ago. He turned in a historic demonstration of how a point guard can dominate.

At 4A, you can see several ranked players on the McPherson team. Same with Goodland at 3A.

At 2A, [player_tooltip player_id='1270271' first='Tanner' last='Heckel'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1740754' first='Barrett' last='Moddelmog'] will headline the tournament.

At 1A Div. I, we will see if [player_tooltip player_id='1953933' first='Joey' last='Dyck'] repeats his unbelievable production from last year, and you can catch the Thalheim brothers at 1A Div. II.
