FIRST TEAM
Cooper started things off midrange fadeaway in the 5v5 segment. He additionally showed underrated ball-handling and footwork outside the paint. Also does well reading defenses and sharing the ball. At the end of the first game, he took it himself to draw a pair of fouls and score baseline. He continued the momentum in the second 3v3 game. Drilling several contested threes in addition to a baseline fadeaway. Overall, an exciting, crafty point guard.
Highlights
A true full-day standout. After a solid 1v1 showing, he had the hot hand early in the opening 5v5 game. Kicked things off with a pair of contact finishes inside. Even involved as a playmaker and rebounder. Picking up numerous second-chance opportunities. Spaces out for open shots on the offensive end and stayed consistent throughout the contest. Smooth baseline finish towards the end of the second game. High motor prospect.
Top 30 prospect looks more polished than most of the prospects. He took advantage of his physical frame to accumulate tons of tough buckets attacking the rim. Confident slasher in transition. Even had some dunks in his second 5v5 game.
My MVP of the showcase. Lengthy 6’6″ wing showed so much potential throughout the day. Really impressed me as a passer in the 5v5 section. Particularly in transition. Super lengthy prospect who grabbed boards and ran with it, playing the game at a super fast pace. He really took over the first 5v5 game. Put back his own miss, drove baseline, and excelled at the pump-fake. He could have easily had a triple-double in the opening game.
Highlights
Big man really shined off the pick-and roll and picked up tons of easy finishes inside. Strong in the 5v5 portion. Baseline reverse-layup the rim as well as a pair of transition dunks. His spin move is also very impressive. Continued to frustrate opponents on the defensive end. Length makes it easy to contest shots
