(Note: this is not at all a definitive list. This article is part of an ongoing series to highlight some New York natives who are deserving of being recruited)
The Blair Academy guard has been great since first arriving last season. This year he helped lead the Buccaneers to a MAPL League Title and an NJISAA Prep “A” Division championship. The quick and athletic lead guard seemingly gets into the lane at will and is comfortable creating for his teammates as well as scoring when he needs to. At this stage he’s one of the best guard prospects in both the Northeast and the country.
Due to a senior laden backcourt that stars for Eagle Academy, Cummings’ minutes have been few and far between during the stretch run. A microwave scorer who now stands at 6-foot-1, Cummings had a strong showing earlier in the season against Lawrence Woodmere Academy. He will likely be able to show more of his game playing his age group in AAU and then will slide into a much bigger role next season.
Hassan Cisse

Cisse got better as it got later in the season and ultimately earned himself consistent minutes as an on-ball defender. The Ravens often put him on the floor to make opposing point guards uncomfortable. A strong and physical guard, Cisse is at his best when attacking the rim.
Mingo has great positional size, athleticism, and feel for the game. Playing at LuHi, he’s taken on more of a complimentary role and shown that he could develop into elite defender in his class. There are fewer holes in his game than most guards at this stage, and he comes from a basketball family. Throw in the fact that he’s on the younger side for 2026, and it seems like Mingo is as strong of a long-term bet as anyone in New York.
The sophomore combo guard is capable of getting hot in a hurry and carrying the offense. He had multiple performances where he went for 30+ points. A quick and strong guard who can get into the lane and excels at playing off two feet, Anderson will likely be a prominent member of the Wiz Kids this Spring.
Singleton is a talented scorer who can get hot in a hurry. He has all of the tools to be a Power 5 level recruit. There are a number of programs in the Tri-State area that have been keeping tabs on him early, but the 6-foot-6 swingman could break out in a real way this Spring.
