McGuire was the most dominant player in the gym on Saturday afternoon, using his 6-4 frame to bully his way to the rim for finishes in 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 play. He handles it well, has great footwork, can finish at the rim with either hand, and does a nice job absorbing contact and finishing through it. He’s a good passer who sees the floor well and he can create off the dribble for his teammates. The next step in his development on the offensive end will be adding some consistency to his jumper. When he has his feet set, he’s a pretty good shooter with a high release and good rotation on his shot, but he needs to continue to work on becoming a consistent shooter off of different platforms. Defensively he shined during 1-on-1 play especially, moving his feet and using his long arms to contest shots.
SF Quentin Teeter Quentin Teeter 6'1" | SF Waukee Northwest | 2026 State IA (Waukee Northwest, 2026)
Teeter first stood out with his strong defensive play in the 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 settings, using his long 6-1/6-2 frame to get contest shots and make life difficult for opposing ball-handlers. His play on the offensive end was great in 5-on-5, moving without the ball, knocking down shots off the catch at a high clip, and using the threat of his shot to open up the rest of his offensive game, putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim off the bounce. He can finish through contact and does a good job keeping the ball moving offensively.
SF Frankie Schoenauer Frankie Schoenauer 6'3" | PG Johnston | 2025 IA (Johnston, 2025)
Schoenauer was arguably the second best pure scorer in the gym on Saturday, behind only McGuire. The 6-3 wing can take his defender off the bounce going in either direction, and he does a good job playing with pace, changing speeds to get by defenders and pairing his handles with that pace well. He’s a good shooter off both the dribble and the catch and he knows how to get to his spots off the dribble, using footwork and subtly using his off-ball arm to help create that tiny bit of additional space needed to get to his jumper. He’s a three-level scorer who can also impact the game defensively with his length, athleticism, and activity.
SF Cam Seuferer Cam Seuferer 6'4" | SG Southeast Warren | 2025 IA (Southeast Warren, 2025)
Seuferer is coming off a junior year in which he averaged 16 points and 14.7 rebounds, but you never quite know how the small school players are going to translate when they play against some bigger school kids, who tend to be a bit more physical and athletic. Seuferer held his own, and then some, shining in all three different settings on both ends of the floor. A 6-4 wing who can defend multiple positions, he uses his length and athleticism to get into passing lanes, contest shots, and dominate on the glass on both ends of the floor. He’s an active wing who plays hard on every possession. On the offensive end he showed really good hands, footwork, and touch around the bucket and the ability to finish with either hand. He’s not a great shooter, but he’s a good enough shooter that it needs to be respected. A really strong showing for the senior-to-be from Southeast Warren.
SG Logan McDole Logan McDole 6'3" | SF Washington | 2025 State IA (Washington, 2025)
A 6-3 sharpshooter, McDole was tearing the nets apart throughout the afternoon in every setting. He has a quick release off the catch and gets great rotation and good elevation on his shot, which makes it difficult for opposing players to contest his shot. He moves extremely well without the ball in his hands and can shoot it from well beyond the high school line with a clean, repeatable stroke. He does a good job using his shot to open up the rest of his offensive game as well, attacking hard closeouts off the dribble and getting to the rim where he can finish through contact.
