Trent entered the semifinal game with impressive season averages of around 16 points and 10 rebounds per game, contributing to his team’s six game winning streak. Throughout the game, Trent maintained relentless pressure on the defense with his activity around the basket, securing 15 rebounds. His length also proved effective on the defensive end, as he altered shots and added 2 blocks. Despite the game extending into overtime, Trent continued to give his all until the final horn, finishing with 14 points. With Trent’s contributions and the talent on the Lake Norman High School team, they are favorites to make another strong run next year.

Paul McNeil Paul McNeil 6’6″ | SG Richmond County | 2024 State #172 Nation NC delivered a remarkable performance in the Semi Final game against New Hanover, leaving everything on the court. His stat line of 36 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals showcased his exceptional talent and determination. McNeil’s scoring prowess, combined with his size, athleticism, and defensive tenacity, solidified his status as one of the best to ever wear a Richmond jersey. He demonstrated his offensive versatility by scoring effectively from all three levels of the floor, shooting 8-15 from inside the arc, 4-10 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line. Additionally, his hustle, intelligence, and grit on the defensive end further emphasized his impact on the game.

RJ, the freshman sensation, has had an impressive debut season, averaging 15 points and 5 rebounds per game. Standing at 6’4, his presence on defense is invaluable, thanks to his athletic ability, versatility, and length. In the state championship game, RJ showcased his offensive prowess by shooting efficiently from inside the arc, going 4-5 on strong drives to the basket and drawing fouls for frequent trips to the free-throw line. He also displayed his shooting range by knocking down three shots from long range finishing with a team high 20 points. Furthermore, RJ’s contributions were not limited to scoring, as he pulled down 4 rebounds and created 4 steals on the defensive end. With three more years ahead of him, RJ is poised to continue making significant contributions to the team.
One of the top post players in the state regardless of class did not disappoint in the State Championship game. Coming into the game know for his size, mobility, extra effort all over the floor, and ability to come up with timely plays on both side of the floor, Kendre showed just that. Putting up impressive numbers of 19 points and 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks against a tough FarmVille Central team.
Chadlyn’s performance in Saturday’s State Championship game was nothing short of exemplary. The junior point guard was one of the morel efficient players on the court, utilizing his size advantage to command the floor effectively. His ability to distribute the ball, navigate through pressure situations, and hit pull-up jumpers stood out throughout the game. Chadlyn’s steady presence and reliability were key factors in his team’s success, particularly during the playoffs. In the championship game, he delivered a stellar performance, tallying 15 points on an impressive 6-7 shooting from the field. Additionally, he contributed 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, further demonstrating his all-around impact on the game.
Chase showcased his winning mentality and leadership once again this week as he contributed to his team’s pursuit of a State Championship repeat. Teaming up with his talented brother Carson in the backcourt, Chase’s quickness, ability to attack the basket, and high basketball IQ posed challenges for opponents on both ends of the floor. His defensive prowess was evident in his ability to disrupt opposing offenses, while his court vision and decision making allowed him to effectively dissect the defense and find open teammates. As he concludes his high school career, Chase delivered an impressive performance, tallying 14 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, further solidifying his legacy as one of the area’s most accomplished winners.
