St. Ignace vs. Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian (March 14, 5:30PM)
Prediction: Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian
Tri-Unity has only 5 losses that have come at an average of under 4 points per defeat. St. Ignace brings a lot of firepower into a game that could be decided in the final minutes.
Players To Watch:
Nick Halburg (St. Ignace) – The obvious answer here would have been superstar guard Jonny Ingalls. Of course he’ll be key, but he needs help. Enter Nick Halburg. The senior forward has had big games in the playoffs, picking up good looks near the rim and boxing out and staying active on the glass. If Halburg does the little things in the semis, St. Ignace can advance.
Jordan VanKlompenberg (Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian) – VanKlompenberg has been more than solid this season and has been lights out in the playoffs for Tri-Unity. He’s put a large scoring load on his shoulders and has excelled in that role. VanKlompenberg has been a confident shooter and a game changer from beyond the arc.
Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart vs. Allen Park Inter-City Baptist (March 14, 7:30PM)
Prediction: Allen Park Inter-City Baptist
Inter-City Baptist has beaten some really good teams on their way to the semifinals, including wins against Taylor Trillium, Detroit Douglass and Kingston. Don’t look past Sacred Heart though. They have some impressive wins as well with Nouvel standing out to me.
Ethan Esse Ethan Esse 5'11" | PG Inter-City Baptist | 2026 State MI (Inter-City Baptist) – Esse might be the most explosive player on the floor. He can score in a variety of ways, including a solid jumper and an impressive speed burst and creative finishing when attacking the rim off the bounce.
Aidan Halliday (Sacred Heart Academy) – Halliday is an excellent all around athlete and is a Northwood University football commit. He has the ability to set the tone on the perimeter with his defense and ability to force turnovers.
