<p>This one came down to the wire! Palatine won on a back cut with 1.4 seconds left by Wash U commit [player_tooltip player_id='1541230' first='Connor' last='May'] who had 21 points and 13 rebounds in the win. [player_tooltip player_id='2823585' first='Tony' last='Balanganayi'] finished with 19 points. Warren freshman phenom [player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] tied it with a steal along with and-1 with under a minute to go. He had 19 points.</p>

<p><strong>Normal Community defeats Downers Grove North 53-29</strong></p>

<p>Not close from the beginning as Normal protected their city! Wright state commit [player_tooltip player_id='1157233' first='Jaheem' last='Webber'] had 22 points in the win. [player_tooltip player_id='1172774' first='Braylon' last='Roman'] chipped in 12 points. Princeton commit [player_tooltip player_id='1285524' first='Jack' last='Stanton'] had 12 points in the loss for DGN.</p>

<p><strong>New Trier defeats Glenbard North 65-41</strong></p>

Will Leemaster had 13 points to help out in the New Trier win. Senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1157222' first='JJ' last='Hernandez'] had 20 points.</p>

<p><strong>Homewood Flossmoor defeats Curie 60-58</strong></p>

Two of the best in Chicago all season long squared off in a game of runs in the fourth quarter with HF coming back from down 8 then Curie racing back to tie it up before [player_tooltip player_id='1352590' first='Gianni' last='Cobb'] hit a pair of free throws to give HF the win. Cobb who is headed to Columbia had 22 points while [player_tooltip player_id='1774274' first='Jayden' last='Tyler'] scored 18 points. For Curie [player_tooltip player_id='2318209' first='Mason' last='Minor'] led the way with 14 points while [player_tooltip player_id='1157209' first='Will' last='Gonzalez'] had 13 points.</p>

<p>It looked like we were going to have upset city here before Mt. Carmel came back to send it to OT and eventually win. Junior x-factor guard [player_tooltip player_id='2105179' first='Grant' last='Best'] had 18 points while top 5 Northwestern commit [player_tooltip player_id='1373436' first='Angelo' last='Ciaravino'] had 15 points. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1385307' first='Cameron' last='Thomas'] had 12 points. For St. Patrick their backcourt led the way with [player_tooltip player_id='2104971' first='AJ' last='Thomas'] scoring 17 points and junior [player_tooltip player_id='1385287' first='EJ' last='Breland'] having 13 points.</p>

AJ Demirov finished a stellar junior campaign with 10 points.</p>

He got 8 points each from [player_tooltip player_id='1598683' first='Daquan' last='Little'] and Marlon Herron. Illini commit [player_tooltip player_id='1157230' first='Morez' last='Johnson'] sat with foul trouble all first half. Finished with 12 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1158757' first='Meyoh' last='Swansey'] led Thornton with 13 points.</p>

<p><strong>Mt. Zion defeats Centralia 47-46</strong></p>

<p>The matchup that seemed destined since the pairings came out was a nail biter with Mt. Zion edging out Centralia by a single point. [player_tooltip player_id='2323267' first='JC' last='Anderson'] had 20 points while [player_tooltip player_id='1750716' first='Cruz' last='Harlan'] was the top scorer for the Orphans with 14 points.</p>

<p><strong>Mounds Meridian defeats Christ Our Rock Lutheran 60-53</strong></p>

<p>Mounds Meridian got a huge game from Javionne Ranson with 23 points while Will Thurston and Antonio Flenoid Jr each had 15 points. Christ Our Rock Lutheran was once again pushed by Jayden Bazile who had 18 points in the loss with Damari Dabney scored 15 points.</p>

<p><strong>Hope Academy defeats Heyworth 69-54</strong></p>

<p>What a great year for first year coach and Chicago legend Ronnie Fields heading to Champaign. Their exciting young guard Tyjuan Hunter led the way with 30 points in the victory while Joshua Dillon also had 11 points. Big man [player_tooltip player_id='1285518' first='Nick' last='Feather'] dropped 19 points for Heyworth while Tyler Bartles and Nick Papson went for 11 and 10 points a piece.</p>

Jacob Baumann contributed 15 points in the victory. Jalen Carer and Asa Johnson each had 10 a piece. For Pecatonica their go to guard [player_tooltip player_id='1874696' first='Cooper' last='Hoffman'] notched 21 points while Drew Williams contributed 14 points and [player_tooltip player_id='1874742' first='Jaxon' last='Diedrich'] had 13 points.</p>
