The Elite Prep League concluded it's second season in existence as one of the top post grad leagues in the country, with 6 of their 7 teams being selected to the 17 team field in the National Prep Championships.

The league consists of teams from the mid-atlantic in the states of North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Here's a look at the all league selections of players from the MD and PA teams, as voted on by the league's coaches.

First Team

EPL Averages: 5 GP - 24.8 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 4.4 APG, 1.4 SPG - 50% FG - 1st Team Session 1, 2 and 3

Jeffrey may have just been a junior playing with post grad players, but it took no time for him to get acclimated and show that he's one of the best guards in the country playing in one of the toughest leagues in the country. The 6'3” Brooklyn native has all the tell-tale signs of an NYC guard with his relentless nature and ability to get anywhere on the court with the ball in his hands. He's super shifty off the bounce with great burst and is a strong finisher when he gets downhill, he's an excellent playmaker when he touches the paint, he runs the pick-and-roll well and he has a knack for making big plays on both ends of the floor when his team needs it the most.

[player_tooltip player_id='2322847' first='Alex' last='Zakheim'] | 6'2” PG | Perkiomen

First Team

EPL Averages: 6 GP - 11.7 PPG, 6.5 APG, 4.7 RPG, 5.6-1 ATO - 44.4% FG / 52.0% 3FG - S4 Breakout Player

In Perkiomen's first year in the EPL they finished in second in the league, and while they weren't at every session due to travel restrictions they played all six other teams and Zakheim showed early and throughout the season he was one of the most underrated guards in the entire league. He was one of the most steady and consistent players throughout the season, as he rarely made mistakes and was highly efficient running the offense and scoring the ball. He plays with great pace and can deliver passes on a dime making the correct and easy play routinely, he shot the ball at a very high clip from deep throughout the season and was willing to do whatever it took to help his team win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579092' first='Malachi' last='Palmer'] | 6'6” CG | Mt. Zion (Maryland)

First Team

EPL Averages: 3 GP - 17.0 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 1.7 APG , 1.3 SPG - 45.5% FG / 44.4% 3FG - 1st Team Session 1

While Palmer dealt with some injuries throughout the season, when both him and Jeffrey were on the floor it made for an unstoppable backcourt, leading them to the EPL Championship game and a run to the National Tournament while earning his second straight First Team EPL nod. The Maryland commit is a walking mismatch with his size and strength at the guard position, and he really improved his shooting from last year to become one of the premier shot makers in the league. He had multiple games where he put up big scoring numbers and scored the ball from all over the floor, he was one of the top perimeter defenders in the league and will have a chance to make an immediate impact in the Big 10 next year.

First Team

EPL Averages: 5 GP - 12.6 PPG, 4.2 RPG , 2.6 APG - 38.8% FG - Second Team Session 4

Cochran also dealt with some injuries throughout the season, and while he didn't put up huge numbers for Perk they were a very balanced team and he contributed across the board for them. The junior from outside of Philly was their leader this year and the guy they turned to when they needed, and when he was fully healthy he was a handful to deal with and should see him blow up this summer on the AAU circuit. The 6'5” guard is a smooth athlete who gets where he needs to on the court and can make shots from all over, he plays with a great motor and a high IQ on both ends of the floor and he showed his versatility playing all over the floor for them.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579104' first='Bobby' last='Montgomery'] | 6'6” WF | Mt. Zion 2025

Second Team

EPL Averages: 6 GP - 12.2 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.2 APG, 1.0 SPG - 1st Team - Session 4 / 2nd Team - Session 3

Montgomery is another junior who I expect to blow up on the AAU circuit this summer, as he improved a ton this year after moving from Mt. Zion's high school team to their post grad team and becoming a starter and main contributor for them as well. The 6'6” wing is a blue collar do-it-all type of player as he usually took on the role of guarding the other team's best player and he brought great energy to the group throughout the season when he was on the floor. While he was a little streaky throughout the season he really started to make shots from deep consistently toward the end of the season, he was a nightmare to deal with in transition with his ability to play above the rim and he hounded the opposition defensively making it hard for anyone he was matched up with.

[player_tooltip player_id='1117679' first='Macon' last='Emory'] | 6'7' WF | Perkiomen (Delaware)

Second Team

EPL Averages: 6 GP - 8.8 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.2 BPG - 40.9% FG / 41.7% 3FG

Emory's another guy on Perkiomen who likely would have put up bigger numbers if it wasn't for their team style, but his impact was huge as the coaches noticed voting him into the second team. The Delaware commit played all over the floor for Perk, sometimes playing as the big man and sometimes moving to the perimeter, but he really thrived as the mismatch four with his ability to make shots and put it on the deck against slower defenders. He shot the ball at a high clip from deep throughout the season, he brought a lot of toughness to his team and his versatility on the defensive end was key for them too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1850282' first='Alfredo' last='Addesa'] | 6'10” C | Perkiomen

Second Team

EPL Averages: 6 GP - 9.8 PPG, 9.2 RPG,1.2 APG, 1.2 BPG - 39.2% FG / 39.1% 3FG - 1x EPL POW - Hoop Hall

Addesa is one of the most under recruited players in the EPL as he was a consistent double-double guy for them and his inside-out style of play will translate to the next level well within the right system. The Italian big man was a problem for most teams to match up with, as he was an excellent pick-and-pop and trail big man who shot it at a high clip from deep and as still a force in the paint on the glass and as a rim protector. He displayed a high IQ within the system and knew how to get his opportunities to score, he showed toughness playing through a number of injuries and he was consistent throughout the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2226450' first='Hayden' last='Johns'] | 6'5” WF | Perkiomen 2025

Honorable Mention

EPL Averages: 6 GP - 9.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 3.2 APG, - 52% FG / 33.3% 3FG - 1st Team - Session 4

Johns was an x-factor for Perkiomen as the season went on, as the Canadian wing was another matchup nightmare for Perk with his physical yet skilled style of play. The 6'5” lefty was a handful to deal with when he got downhill as he used great footwork and his strength to be able to create space and finish at the rim, while also being able to play on the perimeter as well. He has a different cadence and style to his game that is hard to guard, he plays with great energy and contributes on both ends of the floor and he's an unselfish player who makes winning plays consistently.

Godslove Nwabude | 6'9” PF | Mt. Zion

Honorable Mention

EPL Averages: 6 GP - 6.5 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 1.3 BPG - 51.6% FG - 2nd Team - Session 2

Nwabude didn't put up huge numbers as most of the scoring for Mt. Zion came from their backcourt and their wings, but he was an x-factor for them with his energy and he's an intriguing prospect who has a very high ceiling moving forward. At 6'9” he's a freak athlete who can play above the rim with authority and has a very strong frame that has him physically ready to play at the next level. He brought great energy and toughness with his physicality, had some of the top highlight plays in the entire league and had some very impressive showings throughout the season.
