The 6A tournament featured some of the state's very best players, including Prep Hoops' #1 and #2 players from the 2024 class (and two more from the top 10), and four of the top five from the 2025 class and the top player from the 2026 class.

From that collection of stars, we can create a pretty phenomenal All-Tournament team. We fudged a little on positions to get the best players on the team.

Here is the 2024 6A All-Tournament Team:

PG – [player_tooltip player_id='1270090' first='TJ' last='Williams'], 6-foot-5 guard, 2024, Wichita Heights:

This will be the most controversial pick, because we're putting Williams ahead of more traditional point guards like [player_tooltip player_id='2209779' first='Jakhai' last='Carter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1270290' first='Tasean' last='Williams']. But Williams does so many things and he was so efficient in the first two rounds he needs to be on the team. He struggled in the championship game, but still he's just too good to leave off. But someone else has a lock on the small forward spot, so we'll put Williams here.

SG – [player_tooltip player_id='1372285' first='Aven' last='Mboule'], 6-foot guard, 2025, Wichita Heights:

There were a lot of ways to try to get the best players on the team, but in the end the best true “shooting” guard was Mboule. He hit shots and scored in double figures throughout the tournament. He hit 4-6 from deep when his team desperately needed points in the championship. He scored 12 points twice and 13 once, one of the few players to get at least 12 points in each game.

SF – [player_tooltip player_id='1588348' first='Keaton' last='Wagler'], 6-foot-5 guard, 2025, Shawnee Mission Northwest (pictured):

It seems pretty clear that Wagler was the Player of the Tournament. He hit for 19 points in the win over Mill Valley, a game involving a bunch of great forwards. He only missed one shot in the championship game. He hit 6-12 from deep over the three games. He rebounded and distributed and had to expend a lot of energy on the defensive end. He made an argument for being the best player in the state by leading his team to the title. It was really hard to leave [player_tooltip player_id='1962885' first='Chase' last='Robinson'] off the team, but he came up a little short at the forward spots.

PF – [player_tooltip player_id='1588338' first='Carter' last='Kaifes'], 6-foot-6 forward, 2025, Mill Valley:

It would have been great to reward [player_tooltip player_id='1480552' first='Mason' last='Kemp'] with this position. But Kaifes is just too good to leave off. In Mill Valley's two wins, Kaifes shot it great, getting off his jumpers in the midrange, scoring above the rim and occasionally hitting from deep. He didn't shoot it great in the semifinal loss to Shawnee Mission Northwest, but he battled and finished with 12 points and 6 boards in that one.

C – [player_tooltip player_id='2209778' first='Ethan' last='Taylor'], 7-foot center, 2026, Shawnee Mission Northwest:

[player_tooltip player_id='1588339' first='Amalachi' last='Wilkins'] is a lot of fun to watch, but we have to give this honor to Taylor. His team won the title, and he was a big part of it. He showed his skill development by scoring efficiently. He hit 12 of 18 field goal attempts and 11-17 foul shots in the tournament. He utterly dominated Wichita East, drawing a ridiculous 12 fouls. He finished the tournament with 35 points, 22 rebounds and 13 blocks.

Second Team:

PG – [player_tooltip player_id='2209779' first='Jakhai' last='Carter'], 6-foot-2 guard, 2026, Mill Valley

SG – (tie) [player_tooltip player_id='1270290' first='Tasean' last='Williams'], 5-foot-7 guard, 2024 Wichita Northwest and [player_tooltip player_id='1962889' first='Van' last='Collins'], 6-foot-3 guard, 2025, Shawnee Mission Northwest

SF – [player_tooltip player_id='1962885' first='Chase' last='Robinson'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Wichita Heights

PF – [player_tooltip player_id='1480552' first='Mason' last='Kemp'], 6-foot-8 forward, 2024, Mill Valley

C – [player_tooltip player_id='1588339' first='Amalachi' last='Wilkins'], 6-foot-7 center, 2025, Wichita Heights

The 6A tournament featured some of the state's very best players, including Prep Hoops' #1 and #2 players from the 2024 class (and two more from the top 10), and four of the top five from the 2025 class and the top player from the 2026 class.
