The 5A team was easy to pick. Earlier we announced the 6A all-Tournament team and had a really hard time picking the spots. 5A wasn't hard at all. Even deciding to split the shooting guard position between teammates made sense.

Here is the 2024 5A All-Tournament Team:

PG - [player_tooltip player_id='1408946' first='Corbin' last='Johnson'], 6-foot-3 guard, 2025, Kapaun Mt. Carmel (pictured):

Johnson did even more to cement himself as the top guard 5A and arguably Kansas' best point guard in the 2025 class. He was consistently great across the three games. He rebounded and distributed at a high level. He hit 11-22 from behind the arc and averaged 16.3 points for the tournament.

SG – (tie) [player_tooltip player_id='1624999' first='Phillip' last='Moore'], 6-foot guard, 2025, Piper, and [player_tooltip player_id='2209781' first='DJ' last='Jackson'], 6-foot-1 guard, 2026, Piper:

These two were fantastic at Emporia. And since they're pretty interchangeable, we'll let them share this spot. They handle the ball expertly, attack the goal, and scored consistently. They each got into double figures in points in each of the three games, and they combined to average 31 points per game. They also combined for 18 assists in the tournament. Moore battled his way to 10 rebounds in the final game against Kapaun.

SF – [player_tooltip player_id='1270287' first='Will' last='Thengvall'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2024, Kapaun Mt. Carmel:

As good as a few other guys were, you probably have to give Player of the Tournament to Thengvall. Kapaun relied heavily on him, and he came through. He scored 63 points in the tournament, going for 31 against Highland Park and 29 against Piper. He also recorded 17 rebounds. He had to help defend every position on the floor, handle the ball, rebound and find ways to score in the clutch, and he did it all.

PF – Jacory Robinson, 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Highland Park:

While Thengvall is the Player of the Tournament, you could make a case for Robinson for Most Valuable Player. He was huge and made some big plays when the Scots needed them. Aside from the disappointing finish against Kapaun, the Scots had a great tournament and Robinson was the main reason. Check out these stats: 25-38 from the field, 61 points (at least 19 in each game) 35 rebounds, 13 assists.

C – [player_tooltip player_id='1756342' first='Devin' last='Kerr'], 6-foot-6 forward, 2024, Piper:

Kerr shared the duties in the post and moved in and out of the lane. But we'll give him the center position to make sure he's on the first team. He was a monster on the glass, defending opposing bigs and running floor. He collected 38 points and 27 rebounds across the three games, helping lead his team to the brink of the championship.

Second Team:

PG – [player_tooltip player_id='1172929' first='Michael' last='Kates'], 5-foot-11 guard, 2024 Maize South

SG – [player_tooltip player_id='1512900' first='Mikey' last='Williams'], 6-foot-3 guard, 2025, Highland Park

SF – [player_tooltip player_id='1173415' first='Jeron' last='Askren'], 6-foot-2 forward, 2024, Maize South

PF – [player_tooltip player_id='1270303' first='Teagan' last='Charles'], 6-foot-5 forward, 2024, Kapaun Mt. Carmel

C – Dave Thomas, 6-foot-5 center, 2024, Piper
