Efficient from all three levels, the guard was a particularly large problem for Sanford's interior defenders. Going 10 of 10 from the free throw line, his handle and perimeter gravity made it tough for opponents to handle. Also going 3 of 4 beyond the arc, Rockwell was about as dependable as one could ask for a title game. Along with his shotmaking, he leveraged his gravity to set up teammates for open looks after drawing in help. Treyton Marx was particularly effective on the glass, grabbing 12 rebounds in his effort. His strong frame and height advantage at this level make him a dynamic two-way rebounder, constantly a threat on the glass.

Sanford

Lincoln Reynolds found ways to get into the paint, actively reading the floor for an opening to attack and draw fouls. [player_tooltip player_id='1848642' first='Ben' last='Sittler'] looked to attack the rim in the second half, getting off balance jumpers past the contest. Throughout the second half, Sanford's leading scorer this season, Cash Caldon, began to contribute shots from around the floor. He showed the ability to readjust while mid-air, certainly a talented guard when rolling.

1A

Cheyenne Wells

Cheyenne Wells picks up a victory over McClave, bringing in a formula for success this year and next. Despite only being in 1A, the 23-4 group will be a formidable matchup for the coming seasons, in large part due to star big man [player_tooltip player_id='2376454' first='Corey' last='Hill']. Dickey showed value knocking down perimeter jumpers off the catch, confident when provided space. Noe provided a beneficial impact, creating easy entry passes for Hill and further setting up openings for teammates. Noe proved to be a consistent scorer, effectively taking advantage of openings in the defense, then attacking. The guard rarely forced shots in this matchup. Chadwick did well operating with or without the ball, actively removing into open space, anticipating his next decision. Excellent getting into runners in traffic, he is a well rounded scoring threat within a couple dribbles.

[player_tooltip player_id='2376454' first='Corey' last='Hill'] lives up to expectations, a bruising forward who could be the top prospect in all of 1A through the next two seasons. Following a double double season, he does a great job getting into position for rebounds. Hill remains one of the best rebounders in the state, simply too physically overpowering at this 1A level. McClave had trouble finishing while he was the primary defender, easily bumping away opponents at the point of attack. Even while in the post he was dominant, putting in short right hand hooks above his defender.

McClave

[player_tooltip player_id='2175374' first='Conner' last='Forgue'] provided a large portion of this group's offense, a tall guard who is effective scoring versus contests. Contributing 23 points alongside 4 threes, they were dangerous on all three levels. Another area of impact was his drawing of fouls, going for a perfect 5 for 5 from the free throw line. It is no wonder as to why Forgue has multiple collegiate offers, certainly ready for that next level.
