Also in this group are some players with key roles off the bench who provide big sparks and have shown they can handle big minutes while adding great depth to their respective teams.
One of the top scorers in the Greater Spokane League but also a true point guard who can make all the passes. Plays with great pace, dictates a ton of action for his squad and can make plays from all spots and angles on the court. Has the vision and reactions to hit tight passing windows, but also shows the patience to wait for plays to develop and windows to open. Just plays with a great feel for the game and has a good eye for when to attack and when to slow it up.
Quick guard who can get downhill from the perimeter using various moves to create space and go. Lefty but does well driving to either direction and has some crafty ability to create space at the rim. Can really cut the defense up at times and does a good job mixing up his moves while staying controlled. Can shoot it a bit from 3 too and was the focal point for his team this season while running the point, scoring and getting teammates involved.
One of the tougher point guards you’ll see with his desire to chase down rebounds, sky up high and challenge bigger guys for boards inside, and his reckless abandon when attacking the rim. He’s a tenacious defender, can get hot from 3-point, and has no problems running the offense and setting things in motion.
Highlights
Really good potential as a scorer. Already has a sweet stroke from 3 and can hit from a few steps back. Also shows good footwork, timing on pick-ups, and nice ball security on drives while finishing with either hand. Has a great feel for the game already and could be one of the bigger breakout players next season.
Super quick guard who’s got a few good moves to get downhill and has the high-end speed to breakaway in transition, shoot gaps off the dribble and beat help defenders to the rim. Has some crafty finishing inside even at top speed and shows he can mix in some floaters. Should be a bigger contributor next season and plays with high energy on both ends.
Physically imposing guard who’s quick in and out of moves, shows some good ability to set up passes with the dribble, and can use some athletic finishes inside. Averaged just over 10 ppg while passing for 6.9 assists per contest. Does a great job getting downhill and using strength to hold off defenders and shows good footwork to sidestep defenders and create space for the middy.
Highlights
Stroker from outside who’s great shooting off the catch. Gets his feet set quickly and has the quick first step to burst by aggressive closeouts. Handles the ball well and shows pretty good patience when surveying the defense. Because of his shooting, he’s able to play the off guard at times when there are bigger guards primarily handling the ball.
Highlights
Smaller guard who’s got some moves on the outside and has a pretty fluid, repeatable stroke. Shoots well off the dribble, stays low to the ground with his crossovers and bursts out of his moves well to maximize space created. Can create good action by beating his man off the dribble and really shows a comfortability with the ball you like to see from a point guard.
