Barnes is a 6-0 guard who isn’t asked to do a ton of scoring for the Trojans, but he does a lot of little things for them. He competes on the glass from his perimeter spot, keeps the ball moving offensively, and is a solid on-ball defender who moves his feet well. He finishes around the rim when the opportunity presents itself, but he understands his role on this team and plays it well. He had 4 points on 2-2 shooting to go with 3 rebounds and an assist against Kennedy.

An off-ball guard who can really shoot it off the catch, Moulton went 3-7 from behind the arc in the Thunder’s comeback win over Grundy Center. He moves well without the ball in his hands, finding open spots in the defense to get to his jumper, and he has a quick release on his jumper with plenty of range. He gets good rotation on his shot and is a player who keeps the ball moving if his shot isn’t there, rather than pounding the ball into the floor repeatedly.

Quandahl, an athletic, bouncy 6-4 wing, was fantastic in Decorah’s comeback win over Waverly-Shell Rock on Friday night, pounding the glass on both ends of the floor, getting to the rim for finishes, and finding open teammates with pinpoint passes on cuts for layups. He had 10 points on 5-8 shooting to go with 7 rebounds and 4 assists, while turning it over just once. He’s the consummate “glue guy” for the Vikings, a player who does a little bit of everything for you and doesn’t ask to be in a starring role. He’s the type of player that winning teams have on the floor in crunch time.
A senior forward with good size and athleticism, Portillo is probably the most unsung of the Go-Hawks’ starters, but he plays a key role for them, providing some physicality in the paint to go with good passing and ball movement, and a little bit of paint defense. He had 5 points on 2-6 shooting (1-4 3P), 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and a block in the loss to Decorah.
