Robert Sorensen Robert Sorensen 6'0" | PG Guerin Catholic | 2024 State IN joins 1k Club
Last night saw the continued trend of players joining the prestigious 1,000-point club this season. In the tough two-point loss to New Palestine, Guerin Catholic senior guard Robert Sorensen Robert Sorensen 6'0" | PG Guerin Catholic | 2024 State IN joined the 1,000-point club. The senior guard has been having an outstanding senior season averaging 16.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 2.3 apg. He is also shooting 45% from the field this season, as well. Sorensen is a 6’0 guard that can play on or off the ball at a high right and act of just knowing how to score the ball. Guerin Catholic will look to bounce back on Thursday when they host Indianapolis Washington on 2/8.
Kody Clancy Kody Clancy 6'4" | PG Scottsburg | 2024 State IN sets Scottsburg record
Another senior guard in the state had a big game last night, this time coming in southern Indiana. In last night’s road win over South Decatur, Scottsburg senior guard Kody Clancy Kody Clancy 6'4" | PG Scottsburg | 2024 State IN set the Scottsburg schools record for my made threes in single game. Clancy scored 10 in the win last night. The 6’4 guard is part of the “big three” for the Warriors alongside Jack Miller Jack Miller 6'5" | SG Scottsburg | 2024 State IN and Wyatt Zellers. He has good size as a point guard that can create his own scoring opportunities, shoot the deep ball, and has showcased playmaking abilities for others as well. Fort Wayne Blackhawk edges out close win over Snider
In one of the closer games last night in the Fort Wayne area, the Blackhawk Christian Braves defeated a tough fort Wayne Snider team 74-74 in OT. Junior stud power forward Kellen Pickett Kellen Pickett 6'9" | PF Blackhawk Christian | 2025 State #108 Nation IN had a game-high 28 points while his teammates Isaac Smith Isaac Smith 6'6" | SG Blackhawk Christian | 2024 State IN added 19 points and Bryce Sefton added in 17 points. Snider was led by Trell Hogue Trell Hogue 6'1" | SG Snider | 2027 IN with 18 points and Ke’ron Billingsley with 17 points. With the win, Blackhawk improved to 14-5 on the year while Snider dropped to 11-9.
