Jacobson’s versatility was refreshing. He was always around the ball and found a variety of ways to score including hitting threes, and finishing in transition.
Taylor played one of the best games I’ve seen him play. His fresh new look incuded him slashing to the bucket, finishing downhill drives. The long armed forward had a huge impact on Democracy Prep escaping with a semifinal victory.
Allen could probably be categorized as an old face in a new place. The Clark transfer was a fresh addition to the Democracy Prep roster, displyaing an advanced mid range game. He made some tough pull up jumpers, contributing to the DPAC victory.
First look at Benitez. He was the engine for the Elko squad, tasked with the ballhandling duties, along with running the offense. His best skill was his defense as he proved to be a dogged on ball defender for the team.
Boyd is a player that made a splash for himself in the semifinal game. He’s a perimeter scoring threat, who did a good job of knocking down the open shot, as well as finishing his layups off drives and transition opportunities.
It’s almost impossible to watch Macias without taking notice of him, especially when he’s knocking down threes like he did on this day. The junior guard burried multiple run killing threes in the semis. Behind his shooting, the Ranch advanced to the 4A state title game.
