Spearfish has some upcoming talented young prospects and Kade is one of them. Good length and athletic frame for his age. Plays off-ball from the wing. Doesn’t possess a particularly tight handle on the ball, but he can still go off the drive to attack the defense. Has range out to the three-point line.
Olson seems like a high IQ prospect. Well advanced for his age group in terms of playing the game the right way and consistently. Defensively, he’s very smart, controlled, and sound. Offensively, very dangerous with his quick-release three and well-rounded skills. Can get to the mid-range and rise up for the shot.
Christian is the Big on the Freshman team. He brings a boatload of energy, effort, and hustle. Battles hard for rebounds in the air and will power through bodies and contact to try and pull down a rebound.
Brenner is the inside presence on Aberdeen Central’s Freshman team. A lankier but athletic-looking build. Very long arms. Can power off of two feet and finish at the hoop. At 6’4 as a Freshman, I’d like to see him grow and potentially be a formidable Big for AC when he becomes an upperclassman.
Costain is a prospect that doesn’t necessarily have a position because he can play all over the court on both ends. Can defend in the paint and on the perimeter. Can also stretch the floor from three and that’s the shot he’s looking for. A strong rebounder as well.
Listed at 5’11 but he looks longer than that or he’s grown some. He’s a wing on the Freshman A team. He brings great defensive effort and playmaking.
A long 6’3 prospect that plays behind Kenyon for Sioux Falls Lincoln Freshman A team. A lankier build and can run the floor rim to rim well.
A solid two-way prospect that plays on the Freshman team. Capable on both ends and has enough ball skills to handle the point some. Ability to be a threat off the drive. Has some explosive qualities to him as well.
Grady has a solid and developed frame at 6’2. Also a good athlete as a jumper and mover. A strong rebounding threat. A surprising passer as well and sees the floor at an advanced level for a non-point guard. Overall, good skill and size.
