Eagle vs South Shore was a classic all the way up to the fading out-of-bounds over two defenders banked three that Sanders hit at the buzzer to win the Brooklyn championship. The 6-foot-2 floor general was fantastic all game, often getting to the rim and scoring or finding JoJo Jacobs for easy baskets. He was clearly up to the challenge on Saturday and helped Eagle capture the title.
Asher Elson

Elson has been one of the fastest rising 2025s in the state and the Northeast. It’s easy to see why, as the 6-foot-9 forward can really shoot it and has begun to round out the rest of his game around as well. He hit a number of timely shots to either put the Vikings out in front or keep them close. Defensively he did a great job of challenging shots and his ability to guard out on the perimeter will make him a popular name amongst college coaches and scouts alike this Spring and Summer.
Abdou Tehirou

It was a bit of a coming out party for the high upside TMA big man. A legitimate 6-foot-8, Tehirou proved that he can score at the rim or step out and hit the three over his defender when his feet are set. He plays with an intensity and motor that makes it hard to keep him 0ff the glass and he’s an above average defender with plenty of upside.
D’Andre Gibbs

Monroe vs Eagle Academy was a fantastic battle that came down to the closing minutes. In both the third and fourth quarters Gibbs rattled off 8 quick points and stopped any would-be Monroe runs. He got to the rim and finished as well as knocked down a couple of game breaking threes. The 6-foot-1 combo guard also did a good job of playing with intensity on the defensive end as well.
Brandon Barrett

The big man was a factor on both ends early, snatching rebounds up and blocking three shots in the opening minutes of the game. He finished around the rim when given the chance to score and did a great job of stopping Construction from being able to score at the basket.
Jarius Dickson
Jarius Dickson
Dickson caught fire from beyond the arc, hitting six threes while trying to keep Construction within striking distance of Cardozo. While they ultimately fell short, Dickson put on a shooting display that will put other teams on notice heading into tournament play for the city championship.
