Here were the Freshmen and Sophomore Guard Standouts from the week

[player_tooltip player_id='1570935' first='Kyler' last='Frye'] McClintock (Pictured)

One of the stars of the week was Frye. He guided the Chargers with a decisive victory and scored it with ease. He hit shots from the three off the catch with range and hit a couple mid-range pull-ups. He may be best though at working inside the paint. He has some fancy footwork and counter moves to utilize and has a bag of floaters he loves using after he hesitates and gets into the paint. You don't see too many undersized guards do this, but he is tough, skilled and patient in the post. He also throws a pretty lob and has quick hands on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150824' first='Kaden' last='House'] Desert Mountain

The dynamic combo guard is nearly impossible to stop from scoring. His main reason why is, he is one of, if not the best in the state from the AIA getting to the free throw line. He scored 20 points and made nine free ones. He can hit the step back three and contested pull-ups or get downhill in traffic. He had a couple beautiful passes and had two blocks with two charges.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150823' first='Kalek' last='House'] Desert Mountain

A scoring lead guard has a cerebral approach to the game to go along with competitiveness and skill. He can score with off the dribble threes and tough pull-ups. He smartly cuts off the ball for layups and he slows down the best guard nightly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574517' first='Jaylin' last='Ideran'] Camelback

A gifted sophomore PG who will attack off the bounce. He is great off the pick and roll game and will dime his teammates. He can split defenders effortlessly and is smooth to the basket with his speed and can euro to score or spin into a floater. He has really quick hands on defense and can even block shots plus will take a charge.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620346' first='Joshua' last='McManaway'] McClintock

A good sized sniper can score with pull-up threes or catch threes from the corner or straight away. He will ball fake and take longer strides to the basket. He rebounds well for his position, collects steals and will make the extra pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2280453' first='Iyzaya' last='Soto'] McClintock

A 3 and D type of combo guard can play on or off the ball. He is very tough on the ball defensively with quick feet and hands. He has a nice floater game with deep range on his triples.

[player_tooltip player_id='1546975' first='Javon' last='Bardwell'] Desert Mountain

A high level freshman is arguably the top rebounder in the class pound per pound. He leaps up to snatch the ball high above the crowd. He will score on transition dunks and mid-range pull-ups. He defends multiple positions from the 1-5.

[player_tooltip player_id='2345480' first='Max' last='Miles'] Central

An athletic combo guard moves gracefully around the court. The lefty has a polished floater game, he can shoot the three and likes getting downhill with long strides. He uses his length in the passing lanes and will even blocks shots off the glass on defense.
