Let’s look at some duos who shone the brightest in their teams big time wins to gain extremely valuable momentum!
Brennan Webb/Bryson Holmes
Brennan Webb/Bryson Holmes
The duo of Brennan Webb and Bryson Holmes could not be stopped on offense as Klein Oak took home a double overtime victory on the road last week against Klein Forest. Holmes showed his ability to use his wingspan and reach extremely well to block shots under the rim and come down with several rebounds. Bryson finished with ease under the basket and made it look easy scoring the rock the whole contest. Brennan was a killer on offense as well, nailing several pull up jumpers from the midrange area and also knocking down some open corner threes to clutch the game in crunch time and his lateral quickness was a weapon on defense as well, notching several steals at key moments. Webb is a 2025 guard who plays with calm and poise and can be one of those silent assassins when he needs to score the ball. Holmes is a 2024 guard who has the size and tools to be a problem for anyone who is on the opposing end of the court. This duo will look to lead Klein Oak deep into the playoffs as they currently sit in a three way tie for 1st place in their district.

Martez James Martez James 6’5″ | SF College Park | 2024 State TX and Aiden Buckmon lit up the scoreboard for the Cavs in this game and were a big part of the dominating win over New Caney on the road. James is a 2024 wing prospect that slashes to the rim with ease and plays physical defense in the post. He can also shoot it well from the outside and always knows where his teammates are on the floor. Martez has improved vastly every year I have watched him play and continues to make strides toward the next level. He went 3/3 from long range this game and finished several baskets at the rim even through contact. Buckmon is a playmaking 2025 point guard that facilitates the offense well and is great at controlling the pace of the game. Another aspect I really like about Buckmon’s game is that he is careful with his shot selection. He never takes a shot that isn’t open or is heavily contested and always is a pass first guard, never hesitant to involve his teammates whenever necessary. College Park has a stranglehold on first place in their district and will look to continue their hot streak into the playoffs as regular season comes to a close.

Tillman Jaramillo/ Brett Norton Brett Norton 6'3" | SG Katy Seven Lakes | 2024 State TX
Tillman Jaramillo, 2025 guard, controlled the first half pace of the game for the Spartans and Brett Norton Brett Norton 6’3″ | SG Katy Seven Lakes | 2024 State TX caught fire in the second half of a big home win over Cinco Ranch to clutch the district championship. Tillman possesses a shooting touch that allows him to catch fire at any time and his defense is unlike any other, having great awareness and able to always stay in front of his matchup and prevent him from scoring. I like Jaramillo’s aggressiveness and willingness to always guard the best offensive guard on the other team and keeping him in check. Tillman has a wide variety of different skills that help him as a valuable on court leader for the Spartans and will only improve as time goes on. Brett Norton Brett Norton 6’3″ | SG Katy Seven Lakes | 2024 State TX is an unsigned 2024 senior guard with elite shooting and consistency that separate him from many of Houston’s top shooters. Norton is easily one of the most underrated seniors left in Houston that is not committed yet and he is really the full package on court. He does it all from playmaking, to defense, to shooting, and even snags 5/6 rebounds a game. This duo is very valuable to the Spartans and will continue to play their roles effectively.
