(Pictured #1 in white )If you’ve been a regular reader of my scouts you know how much I like this player. Scoring a school record 53 points in leading the Brentwood squad to a big victory over Central Islip. The previous high was 52 by Former UNC player and NBA player as well as the current President of Basketball for the Charlotte Hornets Mitch Kupchak. Marquese is an all around player he can score inside or out. This night he had 19 field goals connecting on 3 threes and converted at the charity stripe for additional 6 points. Night after night he is never outworked. He also had 4 assists and 7 rebounds. He is strong and athletic to the rim either in the half court or in transition. He has a strong will to win. A tough player who mixes it up underneath and finishes at the rim. Outstanding rebounder cleaning up misses. On the defensive glass he can snag the rebound and lead the break.
Dominic currently second in Suffolk in scoring at 22ppg. He can score inside off the bounce but is also an outstanding shooter from beyond the arc. He also is very efficient at the charity stripe he has the ability to drive the ball into opponent and finish through contact as well as converting old school 3 point plays. Last few games he has games of 21, 21 and 27 points showing he is a consistent scorer. He also competes on the glass and is a top rebounder nightly.
Bayshore is continuing their undefeated season with a victory over North Babylon. A balanced attack each night could be led by any one of 4 players. Carter is a constant though in making a difference in the game if he is scoring or not. Against NB he connected on 5 threes with his quickness he is hard to contain so he is able to draw fouls and add points from the line. This night he poured in 27 points. He is a playmaker, but also a tremendous facilitator of the ball, Outstanding going downhill N-S but also understands the importance of changing speeds and direction. Excellent court vision and a willing passer.
Robbie put up three 20 plus point performances in recents games. A sharpshooter from deep he has had 11 games with 2 or more threes. Handles the ball well can get off his own shot but also comes off of screens ready to shoot it.
