Featuring a number of potential state and federation title contenders, the CHSAA ultimately went 4-0 on the day. While not every standout performer was a senior a number did play well at the WCC. Read on to see who.
It wasn’t a classic scoring night from Boogie, who instead showcased more of his ability to get his teammates involved and his overall floor game. He often started the break on his own and picked out shooters in transition. Every time Eagle Academy seemed to close the gap, Fland found a way to assert himself on both sides of the ball. He finished with 7 points, 6 assists and 4 steals.
The senior guard has made strides as a decision maker over the past year and now looks in control of the Eagle Academy offense. He got into the lane seemingly at will and his strength and athleticism allowed him to finish over and through defenders. Siena, Marist, FDU and St. Bonaventure were all on hand for their tilt vs Stepinac.
The versatile four man showed his full skillset vs James Monroe. He ripped down rebounds and started the break, finished at the rim, and knocked down a couple of jumpers. When Pang’s got his whole game working, he’s an extremely tough cover for anyone in the CHSAA and should see his recruitment pick back up a bit as he continues to spearhead a currently short-handed Royals squad.
Alhassan Jallow
Alhassan Jallow
It’s been a big senior campaign for Jallow and for good reason. The 6-foot-7 forward plays hard, rebounds well, and can space the floor with his shooting ability. He can also put it on the floor a bit but does his best work when slashing to the rim. James Monroe is a talented team this season and will be looking to make noise in the playoffs. If they do, Jallow will be a big reason as to why.
Darrel Taylor

Taylor finished with 23 of his team’s 48 points in a loss to Iona Prep that was closer than the final score indicated. The gritty senior hit shot after shot to keep Bowne within striking distance for a majority of the game before an Iona Prep full court press in the 4th quarter helped them salt the game away. He showed that he could get to the rim and finish as well as knock down jumpers from beyond the arc.
Iona Prep started off slow- so in came Bryant. The senior responded in a big way to the tune of 20 points and 10 rebounds. He Finished with 5 dunks and was fouled a number of times or that number would have been higher. More importantly, he showed that he can space the floor a bit with his shot. Known more as a defensive player earlier in his career, Bryant’s game is starting to come together
