These players will only get better and will look to keep climbing the rankings. Here are players who I think are having a great season for the 2026 class part two.
Mikulka can shoot lights out from downtown and that has not changed this season. He makes about 2-3 three-pointers per game making him a threat from all over the perimeter. His quick release and zero hesitation to shoot the basketball make it difficult for defenses to keep up with him and get consistent contests on his shot. Mikulka does an excellent job of coming off of off-ball screens and will look to tire out whoever is guarding him.
Highlights
Spross is having a terrific season so far averaging an impressive 20.7 ppg seemingly getting any shot he wants. At 6’2″ he will look to exploit mismatches guarding him with either his post-game or his ability to break down his defender with his quick dribble. He works the midrange game well looking to hit some tough shots from that area. He can get to the rim and will look to seek contact to get any sort of foul his way.
Smith is having another stellar all-around season at the point guard position. He has excellent playmaking ability and looks to get his teammates involved early and often to keep them ready throughout a game. Smith will not hesitate to challenge taller players at the rim as he can evade contact while in the air with his off hand to get tough layups to go around the rim. His pick-n-roll game is near perfect and looks to always set up his teammates with easy open lanes to the rim.
Randall is playing as fast as ever this season as his quick electric play makes it difficult for defenses to stay in front of him. His quick and shifty handles give him the ability to get by anyone guarding him on the perimeter. He can stop on a dime and hit the midrange shot or look to take it to the rim to do some crafty layups. His playmaking ability is exceptional with him threading the needle into some tight spaces that defenses or his teammates wouldn’t even think were possible.
Edgecomb can affect the game in all areas as his all-around playstyle makes it tough for how defenses to look to guard him. He is a patient player who lets the game come to him. He can get to the rim whenever he wants and will look to step out to the three-point line if given the space to hit the open shot. His shot is high and quick and will look to get into the midrange game to rise over smaller defenders. He rebounds well for his position and can throw long outlet passes on the fastbreak accurately.
