Summit (51) @ Franklin (66)

Despite trailing 21-10 early, Summit took the lead at 26-25 in the final minute of the first half.

Summit Spartans that played well during that comeback included: Jerion Tate, Derrick Smith, Mekhi Ball, Kade Lenfestey. Mekhi is the only junior of the quartet.

The second half opened with a corner three-pointer by [player_tooltip player_id='1476101' first='Davis' last='Long'] (Franklin). Davis hit another later in the quarter and teammate Gil Jones helped with a three-pointer in transition on the back of Davis' second make. Together they opened up the game somewhat. Franklin spaced the floor very well and continued to heavily rely upon [player_tooltip player_id='1318564' first='Christian' last='Brown'] to defend the lane.

By the time [player_tooltip player_id='2338276' first='Zander' last='Johnson'] (Franklin) hit a corner three-pointer early in the fourth, the game was out of reach. Zander is an interesting prospect. His evaluation by us will extend into his 17u AAU season. The tall shooter showed some decent lower-body balance. He reminds of Braeden Moore when Moore was a freshman at C.P.A., though Zander is a junior. Good, strong lower body. Balanced on every release. Nice height.

[player_tooltip player_id='1476101' first='Davis' last='Long'] finished with 21 points and Gil Jones scored 11 points.

Ryland McKelvy (Centennial) scored 17 points to lead all scorers, 13 of them coming in the final quarter. Ryland's fourth quarter included three made three-pointers and four made free throws. Fellow sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2283590' first='Carter' last='Ezell'] helped with 8 points and [player_tooltip player_id='2345556' first='Daniel' last='Patton'] scored 7 points.

Ravenwood (47) @ Independence (49)

Independence scored just 7 points in the final quarter, but did win against a great Ravenwood team, 49-47. Ravenwood now has four painful "L"'s attached to their district record. They lost those four games by a total of 7 points!

Tuesday night Ravenwood outlasted Summit, 61-60 in overtime.
