On Tuesday night I watched Olanatagy Orange remain unbeaten against Hilliard Bradley as the Pioneers won 52-50. Then on Friday night I was able to watch Worthington Christian go on the road and beat Bishop Ready, 61-50. These were two really good games and this article will talk about the players that had huge winning impacts on the games I saw.
Tuesday was my first time seeing Mirgon play for Hilliard Bradley after being out at the start of the year with an injury. Mirgon is going to be a great player because as a freshman he is playing point guard at the varsity level like he has done it for years. He plays the game with great pace and comfort. He always has his head up and sees the floor. He never forces the ball anywhere. Someone who is going to be very difficult to turn the ball over. He takes a ton of pressure off Senior Cade Norris Cade Norris 6’3″ | PG Hilliard Bradley | 2024 State OH as a ball handler and playmaker for the Jags. He is very mature. He did not score much but I believe he just needs to knock some more rust off and get into the rhythm of Hilliard Bradley’s team.

Schroeder was very impressive to me on Tuesday night due to his impact on the game but he did not score much. He scored his first points of the game in the fourth and it surprised me because he had his fingerprints all over the game. This sophomore has an incredibly high motor. He is always around loose balls and even rebounds it extremely well. He flies around the floor and makes winning plays. He is someone who doesn’t force anything, makes great passes, and keeps the ball moving. He is a player that knows his role and is a star in it. rn
Lewis started the game HOT for Worthington Christian. He was giving buckets at every level of the floor but he displayed his midrange game excellently. He was killing defenders off the dribble by shifting their hips and then pulling up quickly. He is a sneakily shifty and quick player that can shake you off your balance. He is a smart player as well who knows how to play the game the right way. Makes smart decisions with the ball.
In tightly contested games if you have a shooter it can make or break momentum in the game. Bischoff provided that for Bradley Tuesday night. This kid was on fire. He is a catch-n-shoot sniper. He showed a very quick release and needed almost no space to get his shot off. He was hitting timely threes for Bradley and was super efficient. Played a big role for the Jaguars on Tuesday night.
Davis has a much bigger role this year for Orange and is playing in it very well. He is a slasher who makes the right plays. He is constantly putting pressure on the rim. His length is something that helps on both ends. It allows him to cover up a lot of the floor on defense. He finishes around the rim really well. He makes a great winning impact on the game.
