We took a look at some top-ranked 2025s who are leading some of the most successful programs in the state at midseason. It's just as true in the smaller school ranks that top juniors are leading some of the best teams.

Here are some other highly ranked 2025s providing leadership to teams experiencing success:

#14 [player_tooltip player_id='1740754' first='Barrett' last='Moddelmog'],6-foot-3 guard, 2025, Moundridge:

Moddelmog doesn't have to do it all for 7-1 Moundridge. They return some experience from their state title team, plus the big addition of [player_tooltip player_id='1953952' first='Kreighton' last='Kanitz']. But Moddelmog has the most experience as the team leader and playmaker. He has the Wildcats ranked second in 2A at midseason.

#26 [player_tooltip player_id='1614190' first='Brady' last='Brumbaugh'], 6-foot-5 forward, 2025, Goodland:

The deep and talented Cowboys can beat you in a number of ways. Leading the attack is versatile guard/forward Brumbaugh, who doesn't have to be great every night due to the talent around him. The Cowboys bounced back from a tough loss to 4A Hugoton by beating 5A Hays. They are ranked second in 3A.

#27 [player_tooltip player_id='1588404' first='Will' last='Otott'], 6-foot guard, 2025, Marysville (pictured):

Otott has stepped out of a supporting role as a sophomore to become a dynamic scorer as a junior. He is averaging 28 points per game in the early season and has the Bulldogs off to a 6-3 start. It looked like a tall hill to climb to get Marysville back to state following some big graduation losses. But the Bulldogs are currently ranked ninth in 3A.

#29 [player_tooltip player_id='1772994' first='Ty' last='Romero'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Elyria Christian:

The 1A classes don't get as much notoriety as the bigger schools. But don't sleep on the highly skilled Romero and his Eagle mates. They are 9-1 with their lone loss coming to 2A power Moundridge. Romero is surrounded by some good talent and is looking for that elusive state tournament berth. They are ranked second in 1A Div II.

#35 [player_tooltip player_id='1588418' first='Daniel' last='Cramer'], 5-foot-9 guard, 2025, Dighton:

Cramer has been a stat sheet stuffer since his first day of high school, and he continues to be ultra productive. This season he's averaging 15 points and 6 assists. The Hornets are 9-0 and have yet to be challenged. It seems crazy they are only ranked fifth in 1A Div II, but that speaks to the other good teams in the class.
