Tucker Tornatta scored a game-high 33 points as Evansville Memorial defeated Castle 70-54. The 6’7″ left-handed forward remains one of the top uncommitted front court prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2024.
Decatur Central rolled over Martinsville 77-54 as K.C. Berry K.C. Berry 5'11" | PG Decatur Central | 2024 State IN poured in 25 points to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals. The 5’10” senior guard is an under-the-radar scorer in the Class of 2024.
It was more of the same from 6’4″ junior wing Damien King Damien King 6'4" | SF Anderson | 2025 State IN as he led Anderson to a third straight Madison County Tournament championship with a 67-56 win over Liberty Christian. King finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
There was no slowing down Jevon Lewis Jevon Lewis 5'9" | PG Fort Wayne Wayne | 2024 State IN on Friday night as he posted a near triple-double of 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists as Fort Wayne Wayne dominated Fort Wayne North Side 66-42.
Josiah Dunham Josiah Dunham 6'0" | PG Evansville Christian | 2024 State IN led Evansville Christian over Linton-Stockton 68-51 while scoring a game-high 29 points. The Lions are now 10-1 on the season.
Bishop Dwenger knocked off Carroll (Fort Wayne) 74-65 as 6’8″ senior big man Caleb Lehrman Caleb Lehrman 6'7" | PF Bishop Dwenger | 2024 State IN scored 24 points and pulled down 17 rebounds.
There are few players in the state of Indiana on a hotter scoring streak right now than junior guard Julius Gizzi. He poured in 34 points on Friday night as the New Palestine Dragons picked up an impressive 62-54 win over Delta.
Braylon Mullins Braylon Mullins 6'6" | SG Greenfield-Central | 2025 State #123 Nation IN scored a career-high 39 points as Greenfield-Central moved to a perfect 11-0 on the season with a 64-51 win over Mt. Vernon (Fortville).
Zionsville came from behind to defeat Brebeuf Jesuit 65-64 in one of the most competitive games of the night. Junior guard Maguire Mitchell Maguire Mitchell 6'5" | SG Zionsville | 2025 State IN continued his excellent season scoring 32 points for the Eagles. Butler signee Evan Haywood Evan Haywood 6'4" | SG Brebeuf Jesuit | 2024 State #231 Nation IN had 25 points in the loss for Brebeuf.
Brownstown Central finally returned to full strength, though Purdue bound Jack Benter Jack Benter 6'4" | SG Brownstown Central | 2024 State #121 Nation IN played just 20 minutes in his first game back from a foot injury, but Jennings County got 30 points from junior guard Carter Kent to pull the 69-61 upset. It was Brownstown’s first loss of the season with Benter in the lineup.
There were three huge individual performances in the game that I attended on Friday evening. Nolan Swan Nolan Swan 5'10" | PG Tipton | 2024 State IN poured in 34 points including eight three-pointers as Tipton knocked off Maconaquah 91-74. Josiah Ball Josiah Ball 6'5" | SF Maconaquah | 2025 State IN finished with 30 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. However, it was Grady Carpenter Grady Carpenter 6'5" | PG Tipton | 2025 State IN ‘s triple-double that was the most impressive feat of the night. The talented junior guard scored 21 points to go with 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
