1. Lutheran West (12-0)
The clear top choice, Lutheran West has a ton of impressive wins on the season and remain unbeaten. They’ve avoided close calls Vs Maple Heights and STVM recently.
2. Kettering Alter (9-1)
The easy choice for number two as these two teams have separated themselves from the rest of the pack. They have a huge weekend with big games including a national power coming to Dayton to face them.
3. Cincinnati Wyoming (7-0)
Unbeaten after starting in our top 10, they haven’t played the toughest schedule and teams ranked 3-10 are all very close at the moment but we’ll put Wyoming at three right now.
4. CVCA (11-0)
You could argue CVCA has the second best resume with some impressive non-conference wins, they play Louisville next week in a game that will tell how real they are as a state title threat.
5. Lexington (13-0)
I believe Lexington has the most wins of any team in Ohio right now at 13, they’ll been on a tear this season.
6. Bishop Hartley (9-1)
They lost a crazy game to Jonathan Alder that dropped them a couple spots, but the Hawks have plenty of opportunities to keep rising with a tough schedule in January and February.
7. Shelby (8-2)
The two losses are to top five teams in their division but Shelby had a couple more close call against River Valley as well on the road. We’ll see if they can rack up the wins with a manageable schedule until they play Findlay in early February.
8. Akron Buchtel (7-2)
Lost a couple games to non-conference teams and in the process of balancing out their schedule after a cancelled out of state trip. We’ll see where Buchtel is at the end of the month.
9. Trotwood Madison (9-3)
The most losses of any team in the top 10, the Rams have played a tough schedule and been at the wrong end of a couple close games. I still think come playoff time they are as dangerous as anybody.
10. Youngstown Ursuline (8-2)
With some quality wins and their only losses coming by four points or less to Massillon Washington and STVM, Ursuline is a team to watch in northeast Ohio.
