Continue ReadingThe Georgia-commit flashed his versatility in a 68-51 win over North Broward Prep. Lanky, long and bouncy, the skinny swingman used his natural tools to score in different ways. He threw down two alley oops, loved to get to his turnaround jumper and netted a long hook shot from the elbow. Jacob posted 15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block.
Trailing 12-11 to Alexander after the first quarter, McEachern turned to Jayden Bynes Jayden Bynes 6’3″ | SG McEachern | 2025 State GA to provide a spark off the bench. The shooter drained two of his three three-pointers in the second quarter to help the Indians secure a 31-21 halftime lead they would never relinquish. Bynes finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. He is equipped with size and strength on the perimeter, allowing him to do more than just shoot the three. He’s a nice-looking prospect that could emerge from the shadows next season. Stay tuned.
Cam had his inside-outside game working against Wheeler, scoring at the basket and from the perimeter. The wiry swingman netted three three-pointers and scored on a pair of drives. Catholic has an intriguing game that could translate well to the next level. When he’s at his best, he’s filling up the box score on both ends of the floor while providing versatile offensive production. Against Wheeler, Catholic had 14 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. He looked much more comfortable than when I watched him in their preseason scrimmage which bodes well as he continues to gel with his new team.
Terryon has extremely long arms with a terrific wingspan. His athletic tools give him upside as a perimeter defender that can cover ground both outside and inside. Stebbins hit a three and scored on an And-1 bucket in transition. He finished with 7 points, 3 rebounds and 1 block against Dutchtown.
A true Swiss Army Knife, Russ can play anywhere on the floor. He’s strong enough to go inside and bang for rebounds and tough buckets, but has the finesse to play up top, hit the open jumper and create for others with his passing. White netted two threes and scored on a putback against Mountain View en route to finishing with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Schools looking for a versatile piece that can play 1-4 should check in on White.
