Bolingbrook 2025 Post Pettigrew Primed for MASSIVE LEAP in Rankings

What a show Bolingbrook 2025 post [player_tooltip player_id='1385301' first='JT' last='Pettigrew'] put on in this game! The Raiders post recorded 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 blocks. He looks like a completely different player than the one we saw a year ago at Fenwick. In the best shape of his life, playing with confidence, and being assertive on both ends. He started this game off by splashing in a three from the win. Then it was an array of quick finishes around the cup. His go to seal move on the block was working as was his fluidity as a rim runner. Pounded the offensive glass and was a force defensively swatting shot after shot. He is primed for a 50+ spot jump in the rankings here in a few weeks.

Elite Freshman Continues to Flourish

The name that the state has been buzzing about since his sensational showing at the Jack Tosh Classic is [player_tooltip player_id='2323624' first='Davion' last='Thompson']. The Bolingbrook 2027 shooting guard started off a bit slow, but then got it going in the second half. And-1 on a baseline take. Three ball off movement. Transition score. So smooth and crafty with the ball in his hands. Went for 17 points and is emerging as one of the best prospects regardless of class in Illinois.

Raiders Depth Shines Through

The two stars get a lot of pub for Bolingbrook, but what can take this team far is their depth. Power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1598725' first='Jason' last='Lawani'] is a high-motor forward that mauls on the glass and can put it on the deck from the mid-post. He had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Physical guard KJ Cathey has emerged in the last couple weeks as a hard-nosed guard that racks up junk points scoring 9 of them in this game. [player_tooltip player_id='1295497' first='Josh' last='Aniceto'] runs the show getting others involved while using his soft touch around the hoop scoring as a lead guard notching 6 points. Sophomore sharp shooter [player_tooltip player_id='1874876' first='Trey' last='Brost'] had 5 points including a three.

Mosley Jumps Off the Floor as Uber Talented Combo

It is a pair of transfers that are the go to perimeter stars for Romeoville. [player_tooltip player_id='1766461' first='EJ' last='Mosley'] was super aggressive especially early in this game. The wiry 2025 lead guard got in the lane where he either scored with acrobatics or dished it off to shooters. Also hit three from beyond the arc himself on his way to 14 points. Flashed burst and feel throughout the game along with a ceiling to continue to get better. [player_tooltip player_id='1385302' first='Damion' last='Porter'] is the other transfer who started this one out strong grabbing a grown man offensive rebound for a putback. Got out in transition finishing with 7 points.

Romeoville Junior Duo Put Name on Map

There were a pair of 2025s on Romeoville that made names for themselves in this game. [player_tooltip player_id='2321389' first='Adam' last='Walker'] is a 6'10” five that is thin, long, and a bit raw but screams upside. High points rebounds in traffic, finishes out of the dunker spot, and even hit a couple short jumpers for 10 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2321421' first='Kendall' last='Cutler'] is a sharp shooter for Romeoville that racked up the points with his jumper. Drained threes and feathery twos all over the floor going for an easy 18 points.

Extra Take: Future of Rivalry is Bright

These two programs have consistently produced talent over the last decade. That will continue into the future with the prospects we saw on the floor tonight. For Bolingbrook they will return their two stars in Thompson and Pettigrew. Romeoville is super deep in the 2025 class led by Mosley and Porter along with Walker and Cutler. [player_tooltip player_id='1552462' first='Mickeis' last='Johnson'] is a 2026 that rebounded well in this one from his guard spot. Even guys on the sophomore team that can really go. This rivalry has a lot of star power for years to come. PS…..please stay. No transfers. Sincerely, Illinois HS Hoops Fans!
