Berks Catholic (8-0): The Saints graduated all-world guard Josiah Jordan so many hoop heads thought BC would fall of in 2023-24. But they have found remarkable success this season behind their three-guard lineup of standout “big” guard [player_tooltip player_id='2229823' first='Josh' last='McKoy'], his younger brother [player_tooltip player_id='1588135' first='Kingston' last='McKoy'] (point guard) and lethal shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2226363' first='Parker' last='Nein']. Over the first month of this season BC has put up several big scoring totals including 80 points against Octorara and 77 vs. Trinity.

Chester (7-1): After a disappointing 12-10 finish in 2022-23, expectations were low for this Chester squad. However, the senior trio of Dante Atkinson, [player_tooltip player_id='1848489' first='Dominic' last='Toy'] (UConn football commit) and Calvin Williams had other ideas. Atkinson has displayed his three level scoring abilities while posting 10.2 ppg. He recently dropped 18 (2 threes) on Abington. Meanwhile Toy and Williams are two 6'5” athletes who score in transition and on the interior. 2025 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2328821' first='Dallas' last='Thompson'] has frequently produced double-digits as well.

Imhotep Charter (8-2): The graduation of McDonald's All-American Justin Edwards (Kentucky) had many “experts” thinking ‘Tep would take a step back this season. Well, they are out to an 8-0 record vs. in state competition. Their two losses have come on the national stage at the Arby's Classics (TN). Early on [player_tooltip player_id='1281786' first='Ahmad' last='Nowell'] (UConn commit) has been dominant, posting several 30+ point games. [player_tooltip player_id='1406792' first='Zaahir' last='Muhammad-Gray'] is experiencing his breakout season and is now a walking double-double. [player_tooltip player_id='1477721' first='Ma'Kye' last='Taylor'] (Albany commit), [player_tooltip player_id='2047550' first='Carnell' last='Henderson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1173985' first='Jeremiah' last='White'] have been key contributors as well.

Methacton (8-2): The Warriors graduated a host of talented prospects last June. Thus, a slight step back from their successful 2022-23 season would not have been a shocking. However, sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2247339' first='Christian' last='Matos'] has emerged as a rising star and provided a tremendous scoring punch. The quick lefty with a watery 3-point stroke recently posted 26 points (3 threes) against Wissahickon. The senior trio of [player_tooltip player_id='1848537' first='Alex' last='Hermann'], Anthony Daddazio and [player_tooltip player_id='1865349' first='Sal' last='Iemmello'] continue to play at their usual high-level. Additionally, 2026 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2450944' first='Mason' last='Conrad'] has emerged as a contributor.

Roman Catholic (10-0): Roman's recovery from the loss of their decorated 2023 class is going faster than expected because power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1188620' first='Shareef' last='Jackson'] has been an absolute monster – 17.8 points; 10.3 rebounds per game and 57% shooting from the field. Roman also has three guards in Sebastian Edwards (46% on 3PA), [player_tooltip player_id='2235976' first='Hunter' last='Johnson'] (39% on 3s) and [player_tooltip player_id='2226400' first='Travis' last='Reed Jr']. who are averaging 10 points per contest. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1990918' first='Robert' last='Cottrell'] has developed into the top 6th men in the area. A big test awaits this group on Friday night as they take the court against Archbishop Wood which features all-state level prospects [player_tooltip player_id='1189096' first='Jalil' last='Bethea'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1483181' first='Josh' last='Reed'].
