Thomas Stone vs. Lake Clifton on Tuesday, December 5
It’ll be a clash of titans when Thomas Stone faces off against Lake Clifton this Tuesday, December 5th. On one side, Lake Clifton’s dynamic duo of Jazae Jones and Elijah Nelson Elijah Nelson 6'3" | SG Lake Clifton | 2026 State MD can go shot for shot with any tandem, especially with Jones’ uncanny ability to score over set defenses.
After a breakout junior season, Jones figures to be the deciding factor in how Lake Clifton’s season will go, as the senior is capable of filling it up from every spot on the court despite his slender frame.
They’ll be up against Thomas Stone’s powerhouse trio of Jonas Agyeman Jonas Agyeman 5'11" | PG Thomas Stone | 2025 State MD , Ty Woodland Ty Woodland 6'5" | C Thomas Stone | 2024 State MD , and Kaden Jackson. Dealing with the tenacity of Jackson and Woodland in the paint, along with Agyeman’s perimeter game will require all of the Laker’s focus. Expect to see a high-octane game full of fast breaks and fierce competition.
Agyeman should be on the radar for every DII and mid-major in the northeast, he’s exactly the kind of do-it-all player coaches love to have run their team.
Potomac vs. Central on Thursday, December 7
Thursday night brings us another marquee matchup as Potomac squares off against Central. Central’s Joshua Harper might be the best player on the court during this game, his versatility shows up on both ends of the court. A bit undersized for the wing, it’ll be good to see improvements in his handle and playmaking paired with his usual peskiness on defense.
He’ll have help in the form of guard John Bryan John Bryan 6'0" | CG Central | 2024 State MD and wing Ariel Polonia. While Bryan has shown a penchant for scoring over playmaking in past seasons, he should easily lead the team in assists with his court vision and precise passing. Polonia’s athleticism and inside presence will be key for this team to make any impact in the paint.
There’ll be no slouches on Potomac’s end, with Kareem Davis, Roy Palmer and Willie Johnson on the court. Palmer’s the main attraction, but with Davis’ microwave ability and Johnson’s ability to crash the boards in addition to scoring, they’re a versatile and dangerous senior group.
This will be a game that delivers, you won’t want to miss it!
CMITAS vs. Largo on Thursday, December 7
This game will likely be a battle of contrasting styles, with CMITAS looking to limit Largo’s fastbreak. With national prospect Cam ward attracting so much defensive attention, it’s easy to forget that Largo has other options for bunch scoring starting with Jalen Johnson, and standout point guard Christian Ware Christian Ware 5'9" | PG Largo | 2026 State MD . Johnson isn’t just a scorer, the talented guard is a lockdown defender who’ll likely cause problems for any CMITAS guards bringing the ball up.
Ward is a known triple threat that keeps opponents on their toes, but pay attention to Christian Ware Christian Ware 5'9" | PG Largo | 2026 State MD and his skill in controlling the tempo. A crafty guard that keeps his dribble alive in the paint, Ware’s play creates a synergy that is hard to match.
For CMITAS, all eyes will be on senior Isaiah Grey. His scoring ability makes him the linchpin to their squad, and he’ll be looking to put on a show against the area’s stars in Largo.
