Mankato East over Buffalo by six. Both teams pummeled opponents to start the season. I think East is a little bigger, a little deeper, and Brogan Madson Brogan Madson 6'1" | PG Mankato East | 2025 State MN gives them a bit more punch.
Eastview over Orono by two. Two teams with a lot of new guys. Orono will have a bit more back, Eastview will be bigger, Kamryn Mestas Kamryn Mestas 6'5" | SF Eastview | 2024 State MN might be the x-factor.
Cherry over Holy Family by three. Cherry gets the edge based on the amount of time they have been playing together compared to Holy Family. Love the Isaac Asuma Isaac Asuma 6'3" | PG Cherry | 2024 State #102 Nation MN versus Kole Hanson Kole Hanson 6'2" | PG Holy Family | 2024 State MN spot here. Asuma, Hanson, Brayden Carlson Brayden Carlson 6'8" | C Holy Family | 2024 State MN and Luke Graff Luke Graff 6'3" | SG Holy Family | 2024 State MN spent many years playing on D1 Minnesota together.
Alexandria over Breck by six. If Daniel Freitag Daniel Freitag 6'1" | PG Breck | 2024 State #142 Nation MN plays this might be different. But without Daniel I say the Cardinals with their experience together especially with their defensive approach.
East Ridge over Hopkins by one. Can the Raptors recover from that Lakeville North 15 point loss? Can Hopkins recover after they lost to TG who was missing two starters and there was visible anger all over the place? Love the Cedric Tomes Cedric Tomes 6'0" | PG East Ridge | 2026 State MN vs Jayden Moore Jayden Moore 6'0" | PG Hopkins | 2026 State MN match-up, must see game.
Park Center vs Lakeville North, let me think on it. I needed a second to pick this one, but I believe I am going to go with PC because I think they will be deeper in returning players and we saw what they did last year beating LN early in the season. Park Center by four.
Wayzata vs Totino-Grace. Trojans have not had Ben Shaffer Ben Shaffer 6'0" | PG Wayzata | 2024 State MN , Eagles have not had Tyler Wagner Tyler Wagner 6'6" | SF Totino Grace | 2025 State #366 Nation MN and Will Brands Will Brands 6'4" | PF Totino-Grace | 2024 State MN so far. Two defending champs, Trojans with the more experience returning, I saw Trojans by one.
Minnetonka over Lakeville South. Tonka has started the season better so I got Skippers by five.
DeLaSalle over Osseo by two. Neither team has played yet. This isn’t fair, lol. I go with Islanders by a basket.
Farmington over CDH by one. The Tigers have had an impressive first week. If they can get the guard play to be solid vs CDH they win because they might have the best frontcourt in Minnesota.
Delano over Stewartville by one. In overtime. Double overtime. By a foul shot. On a questionable foul. I really have no idea who to pick here, I just went with the Tigers because I saw them play already and was impressed.
Tartan over Armstrong by five. Armstrong having an injured Seth Newbern Seth Newbern 6'2" | PG Robbinsdale Armstrong | 2024 State MN hurts them of course. Demond Ware had 35 last night and they will need another big game from him, this will be Tartan’s best team in a few years.
Lake City over Albany by six. I think Lake City taking the loss early in the season will have them ultra motivated against an Albany team that is breaking in a lot of new guys.
Dawson-Boyd over Cass Lake-Bena by seven. I have to go with DB who won their top ten match-up versus RTR whereas Cass Lake-Bena lost their top ten match-up in wild fashion to Ada Borup West.
Minnehaha Academy over St. Thomas Academy by eight. The Redhawks are 1-1 versus a tough first week schedule, STA is 1-1 losing to Irondale
