Pacheco helped Hug to a first round victory. The junior PG was the benefactor of teams doubling down against his teams size, he stepped up in a big way, knocking down multiple threes in the game I saw.
Good sized floor spacer, that showed some fight. He was able to knock down a few threes, showing favorable shot prep as well as a consistent release. He has the type of length that allowed him to mix it up on the interior for rebounds.
I like the toughness the little guard showed, he took a couple of hard hits, but bounced right back up and in some cases, came back even stronger. He showed shooting ability out past the three, along with a good handle, and quickness.
Great to have Bass back in Nevada, he returned to show off some unique passing skills. The low post monster, delivered several pinpoint accurate dimes from both the high and low post. When he wasn’t setting up teammates, he was using his physicality to gather second shot opportunities for them.
Highlights
I thought he was good at his best skills. The guard defended on ball, he was able to get downhill, finishing drives with both hands, and he knocked down open threes in catch and shoot situations.
