Bountiful High School (5-3)
We knew that this team was going to be much improved but they are still surprising. Two of their losses have come by a total of five points and they might be able to get those back if they played again but you are seeing the rise and maturity of Carson Smith Carson Smith 6'6" | CG Bountiful | 2024 State UT . When we saw him play club ball he dd not have to play the big on his team so seeing him play his natural position was something that we were looking forward to and he has really taken off regardless of where he is playing and who he has to defend. This kid has a solid offer from Snow but might find his way moving up in the stock rising category. Bryson Heath Bryson Heath 5'9" | CG Bountiful | 2025 State UT has also emerged as a ball handler that can really get the ball where it needs to be and he can score is you do not respect his abilities. Then you have a player like Charlie Smith Charlie Smith 6'5" | SG Bountiful | 2025 State UT who can go off for 5-7 three-pointers if he has the chance and if he gets hot he is hard to stop.
Skyline High School (6-1)
Last season you were able to see some growth with a new coaching staff but they did not have the start they have had this season. They are playing in the toughest region in 5A for sure. Landon Shaw Landon Shaw 6'6" | PF Skyline | 2024 State UT is leading this team and the strong PF is a double-double type of a prospect. David Rasmussen David Rasmussen 6'3" | SG Skyline | 2025 State UT has been a pleasant surprise as well as he has shown that he can do a little bit of everything out on the floor and that is what Skyline needs from everyone that touches the floor is a little bit of everything so that they continue there success.
Brighton HighSchool (5-3)
Brighton is another team that a lot of people hd written off but they have been playing well and once they put 4 quarters together in a game. Nash Matheson Nash Matheson 5'11" | PG Brighton | 2024 State UT is not alone in the scoring column even though he is putting up 20 a game he has a few other players like Bradley Easton Bradley Easton 6'5" | SG Brighton | 2025 State UT who can really shoot the ball and Josh Mawhinney Josh Mawhinney 6'5" | SF Brighton | 2025 State UT who has also raised his level of play. They have a few signature wins and theyhave had a really tough schedule. This team is dangerous.
Alta High School (10-1)
If we started the season and you saw the schedule and we said Alta would be 10-1 you might not be surprised but you would be amazed at what they have been able to do. You have a coach that Alta High School took a chance on a few years ago that had never been a head coach before and it has paid off. He has brought in a staff that is new as well and their energy has been infectious on the team and the school. Jaxon Johnson Jaxon Johnson 6'8" | SF Alta | 2024 State #106 Nation UT and Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT have been playing a very impressive senior year for both of them. They can both take over but they choose to play team ball. Carter Doleac Carter Doleac 6'8" | PF Alta | 2024 State UT has elevated his game and his stock. Dash Reiser Dash Reiser 5'9" | CG Alta | 2026 State UT is a hidden/Secret weapon that they can go to. Bo Compton Bo Compton 6'0" | CG Alta | 2024 State UT has been solid and Carter Goodfellow Carter Goodfellow 6'2" | SG Alta | 2024 State UT has been impressive on how he is letting the game come to him and he can score the ball really well. This team has received some national attention as they are among the 50 best teams in the country.
