CSP Holiday Classic: The Underclassmen Report

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are the young talents that made an impression at CSP.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126467' first='Baboucarr' last='Ann'] of Maple Grove (6'4 fr).&nbsp; Ann hit two threes including a clutch late game make for the Crimson in a win over BSM.&nbsp; He had ten points and even though he is still young with things to learn, Ann has a nice base of knowledge on the defensive end.&nbsp; Scored ten for the Crimson on seven shots and his potential as a skilled and athletic long armed wing is off the charts.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126128' first='Isaiah' last='Asuma'] of Cherry (6'0 fr).&nbsp; Isaiah has one of the prettiest strokes in the state and he used it to hit three jumpers.&nbsp; Not his best shooting game as he scored his nine points on 4 of 10 shooting but he moved the ball for five assists and his defense was disruptive in pressure at the end of the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560839' first='Xavier' last='Frelix'] of Park Center (6'2 soph).&nbsp; This felt like a coming of age game for Xavier.&nbsp; He stepped in as a scoring option with Chavis sitting about 12 or 13 minutes total throughout the game giving the Pirates a couple threes and a dozen points overall on seven attempts.&nbsp; Frelix was one of five Pirates in double digits and he had a key three down the stretch.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560745' first='DJ' last='Westman'] of Forest Lake (5'10 soph).&nbsp; The thing that caught my attention the most with Westman was his deep stance and ability to harass his man laterally.&nbsp; I really like his potential as a defender.&nbsp; Also hit a couple threes scoring 11 points for the game.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Others</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1601068' first='Noah' last='Asuma'] of Cherry (6'1 soph).&nbsp; A three, three boards, some good defense.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2121337' first='Kaden' last='Harney'] of Maple Grove (6'3 soph). Grabbed a board.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140671' first='Milton' last='Nuahn'] of BSM (6'2 fr).
