The Chicago Elite Classic was held over the weekend. The event featured some of the best talent from the state of Illinois and beyond. Here examine the players that do the little things bringing their teams together in Chicago Elite Classic: Glue Guys!

[player_tooltip player_id='1766469' first='Khalil' last='Jones'] (St. Laurence – 2025)

Jones is the leader at the point for St. Laurence. He is the straw that stirs the drink for this squad. Knocks in mid-range jumpers. Sneaks in for rebounds and runs the show distributing to teammates. Against Marist he had 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2724288' first='Nathaniel' last='Marshall'] (Fenwick – 2025)

Marshall is among the top 5 football recruits in the 2025 class. On the hardwood he is a physical undersized four man that rebounds well and gets to the foul line where he shoots it well. Also an underrated connector. He had 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 dimes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766470' first='Alex' last='Gossett'] (OPRF – 2025)

Super athletic junior that uses his springy legs on the offensive glass for second chance points. Also is a quality defender both on the perimeter and blocking shots inside. He had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766478' first='Achillies' last='Anderson'] (Marist – 2025)

Anderson is a thick bodied small forward that is the perfect glue guy for Marist bringing everything together for them. Quality defender that brings toughness. Rebounds well. Does the dirty work. 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1545133' first='Makai' last='Kvamme'] (DePaul Prep – 2025)

Kvamme showcased what he can do at the lead guard spot late on Friday night. Slick ball handler that is creative with the ball in his hands. Can take it off the defensive glass and go coast to coast. Acrobatic finisher around the cup and gets to the line. Solid passer that is a calming force for the Rams. He had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 dimes.

Agasan Branch (Lindblom – 2024)

Branch popped to us as the power forward was a force on the defensive end swatting shot after shot. Not a freak athlete, but he had a feel for it with timing and positioning. Also is a quality rebounder especially on the offensive glass. He went for 5 points, 6 rebounds (5 offensive), 3 assists, and 6 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1541243' first='DJ' last='Strong'] (Bolingbrook – 2024)

Strong is a wiry left handed combo guard that is a two way prospect. Good defender that is quick off the bounce, can hit a spot up three, and can be a connector on the offensive end. Went for 12 points (4-9 FG).

[player_tooltip player_id='1285523' first='Phillip' last='Erickson'] (St. Ignatius – 2024)

Erickson didn't shoot it quite as well as he usually does from distance only going 1-6 against RB, but he showed that he can attack close outs scoring in the paint on reverse layups and was a solid passer netting 9 points and 3 dimes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598774' first='Steven' last='Brown'] (Riverside Brookfield – 2024)

Brown is a prospect that caught our attention over the summer. Was solid in their game going for 10 points including hitting a pair from deep and getting to the rim for a couple others. Liked what we saw as a passer including a bullet dime threading the needle for one of his four assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157351' first='Christian' last='Brockett'] (Curie – 2024)

Brockett is a long and rangy two guard that does a little bit of everything. What impressed us was his shot making going 3-5 from beyond the arc for 9 points. Rangy defender with potential on that end.
