On the other half are two State Tournament potentials. Still Karns can play. Senior guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1942511' first='Bubba' last='Faulkner']</strong> is one of the best on-ball defenders in the state. The speedy guard plays as a firm defensive front too. Look for Faulkner to take on a larger scoring role this year after the Beavers of Karns graduated some real talent. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Farragut began their season with some sound offensive play. <strong>Berkley Naro</strong>, a senior forward, set a career high with 22 points. He was only a 3.7 ppg guy last year. That number is soaring. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2091104' first='Dominic' last='VanAcker']</strong>, a 14.8 ppg scorer in 2022-2023, is steady. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Karns obliterated Greenback, 83-50.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">8:00 PM         Fulton (4-0) vs. Gatlinburg-Pittman (2-0)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Four Mr. Basketball candidates will play in this one game: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1381653' first='Denaj' last='Kimber']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1381652' first='Taj' last='Kimber']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1259399' first='Ty' last='Glasper']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1135401' first='Tyler' last='Lee']</strong>. Throw <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1140815' first='Carlos' last='Orr']</strong> in there as a wonderful player and this game will be a must-watch event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fulton is the most balanced 2A team in the state, but Gatlinburg-Pittman's program gained a transfer and Head Coach Rashid Moore anticipates his younger players are ready to compete at the top level too. It is impossible to pick against Fulton, but GP features arguably the best junior point guard in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='1259399' first='Ty' last='Glasper']. It might come down to tempo. So, I feel like he will definitely fit right in.
