Even though those players are off the board, there is still plenty of quality players available in the region. We take a look at the top available forwards and centers below.
Kendyl Sanders Kendyl Sanders 6'6" | PF St. Bernard | 2024 State CA-S | 6-7 | F | St. Bernard
Sanders has a lot of versatility to his game as a stretch-four type of prospect. The 6-foot-7 senior can face-up and shoot perimeter shots from 15-feet out to the three point line and has the ball skills to initiate offense or attack in those mid-post and face-up situations.
Bryce Bedgood Bryce Bedgood 6'9" | PF Valencia | 2024 State CA-S | 6-10 | F | Valencia
Bedgood is an intriguing long-term prospect because of his combination of size, skill, fluid athleticism and mobility. At 6-10, the senior is a rim-running threat in transition with great hands, touch and footwork inside the painted area. He also has mid-post and back to the basket feel in the half-court setting.
Alier Alier Alier Alier 6'8" | PF Orangewood Academy | 2024 CA-S | 6-7 | F | Orangewood Academy
Alier is a high motor, active and fairly physical prospect on both ends of the floor. He is best right now as a versatile defender whose length and athleticism allow him to play a “center field” type of role as a helper and director of the defense. Offensively, Alier is a second chance opportunist on the offensive boards and a slasher and finisher.
Majok Chuol Majok Chuol 6'10" | C Sierra Canyon | 2024 State CA-S | 6-9 | C | Sierra Canyon
Chuol plays with a ton of energy at the center position and it translates to him being a guy who contests and changes shots at the rim which results in jumpstarting the Sierra Canyon transition offense. Chuol is still limited as an offensive player but really crashes the offensive glass and provides vertical spacing with his rim-running and ball screening and rolling.
Rippen Gil | 6-7 | F | Bakersfield Centennial
Gil has a good amount of skill and great feel on the perimeter for a 6-foot-7 forward. He can stretch the floor with catch and shoot threes, attack closeouts with straight-line drive finishes and has the rebounding ability and ball skills to be a “grab and go” guy who can initiate offense.
Tochi Anigbogu Tochi Anigbogu 6'10" | C Roosevelt | 2024 State CA-S | 6-10 | C | Eastvale Roosevelt
Anigbogu transferred from Corona Centennial to Roosevelt in the spring and is one of few traditional centers in the state. The senior is a strong and physical 230-plus pound prospect who is best as a ball screener and roller who cleans things up on the offensive glass. Anigbogu is also a capable rim protector and shot changer around the basket.
