Scrimmage Week New Prospect Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>NorCal season opening games are upon us, but before we dive into games there were a few scrimmages we were able to attend during the week. This was an opportunity for PH NorCal to check in on a few scrimmage games this week before the real games begin. Here's a few new name prospects who caught our attention with their play. They'll be contributors in some way, starting or playing a key role off the bench. He shot the ball well from behind the 3-point line, he's definitely a 3pt threat. He handles and passes good in open court playing at a good pace, moving, and cutting. He found cutters to the basket, passed it up in transition. He has a good understanding of what he can do on the court. At 6'6 he's going to bump and bang for rebounds, help defending in the post. He'll set solid screens for shooters, make good cuts to the rim. He's expanded his skill set, filled his frame a bit. Standing 6'6 with square shoulders he has good fundamentals. He's a triple threat from the high post with good passing to shooters, finding cutters to the basket, he can hit the free throw jump shot, and use a hard dribble or two with balance to get it to the rim for shot opportunities. He has good foot speed, he's alert on the defensive side of the ball. By our unofficial count he hauled in 6 rebounds from the guard position, he brought the ball up court with good handles. He's a versatile prospect standing about 6'5. He can play positions 1-4 in high school. He handles the ball up top, in transition with good vision and passing. He lined up for 3ptrs in the corners and along the perimeter. He runs the court throwing down two handed dunks with authority if the opportunity is there. He'll block a shot, and score inside with his length. He plays well from the high post, has good touch in the paint. He got a few strips on the defensive side of the ball.
