With so much change in the off season and parity in the season, don’t be suprised if some of the radar players have huge impacts. Here’s a few fresh faces to keep an eye on during the upcoming season.
The transfer from Arkansas has a power frame and a tough spirit. He’ll learn the ropes at Liberty, but has the all the tools to be a program difference maker down the line.
I expect Danko to develop under the tutledge from one of the state’s most consistent programs. The 6’3 forward is raw clay, but has the size and length to make an impact at a JV level while bidding his time until he can contribute at the varsity level.
There’s something about the way the jitterbug PG carries himself. Williams is the type of player other players follow, he’s also a strong driver with outside shooting ability. He’ll be a fan favorite fresh face at Basic.
Victor is a terrific piece to the DP program. They don’t need him to contribute to varsity, however they have a big, raw and talented interior player to mold. The freshman will probably have his biggest impact on the JV level.
DP seems to be the home of the freshmen this year, as the Jags have several first year players prepared to contribute, including Merto. He’s a versitle wing that provides the team with solid interior and perimeter defensive options.
Highlights
Washington is a baller. The two sport star will have an immediate impact for a deep and talented Gorman squad. He’s a good R&J guy, that impacts games with his defensive ability. His best skill is his will to win, as the wing showed heart making some tough shots and plays in high stakes games this summer.
Playing a hunch on this one, but I believe that Jennings size will simply be to big for him to be ignored. He has some skill along with his size. At the very least, he can be a player that puts up moster numbers at the JV level.
