It’s a good event to attend because you can see the teams from where they are now and then catch them during the season when they hopefully look more polished. As far as the individual players, this is the capstone for what they did to improve since last season and then during summer months. You can see who has put time in the weight room to gain the muscle or who added a new wrinkle to their versus those that did not.
Below are some players that stood out whether their teams won or loss.

Highlights
Yusef Grey | West Allis Central: in the two games I watched he scored 20+ points both times and would be considered the game MVP twice
Kia Rogers | Wauwatosa West: Best player on the court in both games he played in. Has improved his footwork, jumper is better form, dynamic passer
Jake Hansen Jake Hansen 6'1" | SG Wauwatosa West | 2025 State #331 Nation WI | Wauwatosa West: When this one gets hot there is little anyone can do. In the game against St. Thomas Moore I believe he had 18 in the 2nd half and accounted for four more with assists.
Amair McCottry | St Thomas Moore: A player that certainly looks the part. Best finisher in his class; probably the most versatile too
Jaquan Johnson Jaquan Johnson 5'10" | PG Pius XI | 2024 State WI | Pius: kid looks even faster than before. Was game MVP more than once for his team.
Tim Franks Tim Franks 6'5" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI | Homestead: this one drops a cool 34 points and acts like he didn’t do something special. This was a game that you show young players. Run the floor and be in the right spots on the floor and scoring gets pretty easy.
