With as many talented players in the state this season, it is important that we give you a list of names to keep an eye on for the season, which is what I will be doing with each position in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes. The point of my list is to give you a preview of some the players that are maybe overlooked a little, still on the college recruiting board, or guys in general that deserve to have eyes on them. With that said, here are power forwards to watch for in the 2026 class this season.
Get to know the name Brennan Miller Brennan Miller 6’7″ | PF Lawrence North | 2026 State IN because he is going to be a legit player in the in-state 2026 class. He had a great freshman season but this year he is going to be the guy in the post for the Wildcats. Fundamentally, he is a great big already for his young age. The 6’6″ forward is very versatile on the offensive end of the floor and rebounds at a high level. He is going to be anchor for a Lawrence North team looking to win it all this season.

Talk about pressure for Evan Harrell Evan Harrell 6’8″ | PF Carmel | 2026 State IN . As only sophomore, he expected to be one of the leaders for Carmel this season, a highly-touted program at that. At 6’7″ he has excellent height and length to pair with his guard-like skill. He has shown that he can be a star on the defensive end using his length well to disrupt, and he has enough athleticism and size to guard 1 through 5. May play he way into double-double figures this year for the Greyhounds.

This is an in-state 2026 power forward that needs to be talked about more. Ertel and Smith may get all the attention, Wells plays his role so well and is an important part of that big three. He is long, athletic, and has shown some smoothness around the rim. Solid handles for his size as well and can make plays on the drive at a high levels. His athletic ability and motor is what attracts you instantly to Wells as there aren’t many plays that I have seen that he takes off and he is smart enough to know his athletic ability is to his advantage. A breakout year could be coming.
Going down south, we have a power forward that is going to be the main post threat for a Jennings County team looking for another postseason run. Elmore, a 6’4″ forward, averaged 5.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for the Panthers as a freshman and those could realistically double. For his size, he brings tons of versatility on the floor and moves well at a solid rate. Showed a few breakout games over the summer, but think his best basketball is ahead of him.
